I think certain jobs require ppl of certain backgrounds - and shouldn't the less successful amongst us be encouraged to apply for jobs? U moan when thy're taking ur benefits and clogging up the system and u moan when they're encouraged to work.However i filled out an application form and got to the bit that said "we at *random shop* are committed to equal opportunities and want to provide employment REGARDLESS of ethnic background" and then it says "please tick ethnic baqckround" Now if the above statement is true and all job applications were juged regardless of the applicant's ethnic backround shouldn't the whole section on defining ur backround become irrelevant?
