Flamini Rejects Juve For Milan – ReportAccording to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal midfielder Matthieu Flamini has rejected Juventus in order to sign for AC Milan.»Comments (9) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom It has been looking increasingly likely for quite sometime now that Flamini will be leaving the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season. The 24-year-old, who is regarded as one of Europe’s best defensive midfielders, has not signed an extension to his Arsenal contract that runs out in June, and his manager Arsene Wenger has now given up hope of keeping him. Juventus and Milan are the two main teams tussling for his signature, and it had been the former who were believed to be in pole position. However the Gazzetta is this morning reporting that Milan have beaten Juve to the finishing line. It seems the main factor in the player’s decision may have been the salary offer. While Milan’s Adriano Galliani offered €4m-a-year for the player, Juventus transfer chief Alessio Secco was only prepared to give him €3m. Flamini will sign a five-year contract at San Siro, and could be the first building block of a new, exciting Milan team. Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli confirmed yesterday that the club had lost out in the race to sign Flamini. When asked if the Frenchman would be arriving in Turin, Gigli’s one-word reply was “no”.

Fabregas has publically committed himself to the club on many occassions. If the squad stays intact Cesc will remain. If he sees Flamini & Hleb leave he maybe forced to re-evalute as they are his bredrins & obviously the reasons they are leaving may in turn effect him.

Arsenal players get tappped up via their agents, agree in principle contract terms, then go to Arsenal/Wenger & ask for a move knowing Wenger wont be so determined when arranging the fee.Thats why Adebayor not yet telling his agent to jam is annoying me, but like I said he got 6 weeks. Same for Hleb, Rosicky, etc...With Cesc last summer its bait his agent got tapped, tried to sell the move to him and he said he's not interested especially with Thierry leaving.

The ball appears to be in Mathieu Flamini's court over his Arsenal future.Arsène Wenger says the Club have made him a "decent" offer and will respect their existing wage structure. A deadline has been set for the end of April and it is up to the player to decide now.It appears the 24-year-old would like to extend his four-year stay but doubts will remain until pen is put to paper. And the clock is ticking. His current contract runs out this summer."The deadline is next week, the end of April.” said Wenger on Friday. "I said it would be the end of April and that will be it."I believe he wants to stay and we want him to stay. We have made him an offer, if it's not good enough we will know soon."I respect our wages structure. We do not play - a little bit more, a little bit more. We have made an offer. We think it is decent and that is it."

Gael Clichy has told setantasports.com in an exclusive interview that Arsenal will miss Mathieu Flamini if the top class midfielder moves to Juventus in the summer.France international Flamini has refused to commit his future to Arsenal for the moment and Serie A giants Juve have approached the player whose contract is up at the end of the season. His fellow countryman Clichy told us at Arsenal’s training ground that he will accept Flamini's choice whatever he decides to do, but the left back would be very disappointed to lose his team-mate who has been a key player this term. The defender refuses to judge Flamini and hopes he will make the best choice for his career.“You have many examples of players, like Lassana Diarra, who just arrived and decided to leave after five months, now he is playing regularly and is a fantastic player,” Clichy told setantasports.com.“Sometimes it’s a good choice to leave, sometimes it’s a bad choice to leave. It’s really up to him you know.“You can say that if he moves to Juve he will be playing regularly and that would be the perfect choice.“But if he leaves and is not played people will say he made a mistake.“The only person who can say something about that is Mathieu.“We will see in a few weeks or in a few months what he will decide but it would be a big blow to lose Mathieu because he has been great this season and he is a great guy.“But once again it’s his decision and he will decide what he wants to do.”

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his interest in making a move for Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini. Flamini's future at The Emirates remains in doubt, with the France international yet to extend his soon-to-expire contract. Gunners manager Arsene Wenger recently stated that a decision over Flamini's future is imminent. However, Serie A side Juventus have already confirmed their intention to swoop for Flamini, while their rivals Milan now look set to join a potential bidding war. "He's a really good player. When he played against us [in the UEFA Champions League] he showed good capabilities," Ancelotti told Milan Channel. "A player like him would be good for any team. And, considering his deal is set to expire, should he want to come to Milan he would be a really good signing for us."

Arsene Wenger is in no doubt his current Arsenal squad can achieve great things - and hopes the likes of out-of-contract midfielder Mathieu Flamini show the 'strength' not to walk out on the club just for the sake of a 'few bucks'.The Gunners head to relegated Derby on Monday night left to reflect on what might have been after a campaign which promised so much will end without silverware for a third year in a row.Wenger, though, maintains his men will return wiser and more determined from their experiences of a rollercoaster campaign which saw them storm to the top of the Barclays Premier League only to see dreams of the title and also European glory evaporate over the last nine weeks. The Arsenal manager, however, knows it is essential to retain the services of key men like Cesc Fabregas, Alexander Hleb and Flamini if they are to move forwards as a unit.Earlier this week Kolo Toure - the Ivory Coast defender and one of the last members of the Invincibles squad of 2003-04 - declared he would like to see out his entire career with the Gunners.Flamini, though, has yet to accept terms of a new deal which is on offer, with Juventus said to be waiting in the wings.Wenger wants the 24-year-old in his midfield next season, but has set a deadline of the end of the month for an answer one way or another.'There is something in this team which is stronger than a few bucks here and there,' said the Arsenal manager.'What is really important is that this team says 'lets go to the end of our potential together and not walk out for any simpler reason' - and that is where I expect them to show strength, and care what they can achieve together.'Wenger noted: 'We are not any more in a period where you get £100 more at another club and it decides your life.'Flamini can earn more somewhere else that is for sure because it would be a free transfer - but how much is he ready to sacrifice to stay here?
