if u wana be atheist or agnostic that's you but its jarring when people go on about 'science vs religion' as if science and religion r even mutually opposed. ive heard people in discussions actually say "i believe in science" idiotic mother f*ckers.

ye there 2 totally different philosphical aspects, u cant really speak of science in the same context as religion like that....BUT both kinda cover a certain human need to a certain extent, the need of explanation, of "why" some things are the way they are....someone like einstien who has basically been prooving many of the most ground breaking theories of his day sumone who was way ahead of his time, is obviously gonna find it extremely difficult to have a "almost" blind faith in anything, without any solid evidential proof.like i said i dont think science will ever replace the human need for having a religious view or a faith, but if it ever did it would definatly be a safer more certain way to filling that void....there will always be questions it couldnt answer, but for arguements sake say if it could answer EVERYTHING....it would mean WITHOUT A DOUBT any unknown concepts in our minds would be gone and we would have that "certainty" and stability in life that faith brought us but there would be no debate or doubts because it would all be prooved with clear cut proof.but ye thats all hypothetical, ill always have a religous view of some kind.

Its not up to someone to prove something does not exist. A guy called Bertrand Russell came up with the idea of cestial teapot, basically if I told you there was a teapot between Earth and Mars but is too small to be seen by even the most powerful telescope then how can you prove it doesn't exist? You may reason that its not possible, but if its existence was confirmed in ancient books, taught as sacred truth every sunday and instilled into the minds of children by parents and at school then now its offensive to doubt the teapot.What makes one God right and another wrong? Why is Christianity the way to live your life and not say Hinduism? Both have very different ideals, they can't both be right. If your going to worship anything may as well worship the Sun as that is the true creator of life. And to the guy who said its not 'Science vs Religion', its 'Ignorance vs Religion' LMAO. Science atively looks for answers and constantly questions why things are and how, and then re-questions and is an ongoing search for truth. Yet you call that ignorance, but having blind faith in a magical God is not? you need to look up what ignorance means.
