A Bit Better Posted July 8, 2008 Report Share Posted July 8, 2008 The ending was poor, mainly because the director of the film wanted to keep his character alive for a possible sequelthe film has a few inaccuracy, like if kidulthood was set in 2002, u can clearly see cars made after 2002 in the first one, plus some of the trainers in footlocker wernt out at the time Thats called being a femaleAlie. The cars I suppose you could complain about if it was Hollywood movie but the trainers?!"Don't you tap those last season Prada pumps at me!" spiderman Posted July 8, 2008 Report Share Posted July 8, 2008 thing is ye it would of been BAIT to have sam get killed by jay or even anyone else for that matter....then it wouldnt of really mattered if he had learnt anything or not, cos he wouldnt be able to do anything with it if he just gets killed as soon as he gets out...corse it would show the cycle he got himself into, but i reckon that is shown anyways by all the attempts to kill him and the message of breaking out of that cycle is what noel clarke tried to outline. He wanted to show people could move on, just think he got lost on how to do it. I cant think of a better way to have ended it right now, I aint no director or script writer, but maybe if someone came and broke up the fight or he actually said something to the girl then that would have sufficed. What a pile of tripe. Few parts were comical, and on the whole, this was like a step down from Kidulthood in my opinion. The film was like an Aesop's fable it was that preachy. I hate being lectured, especially when the lecturer thinks they're being subtle. Shoulda let Jay kill him. His overuse of slang is the kind of thing I would expect a 35year old to write.the overuse of slang kinda throws off alot of it, it just gives him less credibility.fair enough, it should be reality so that it makes sense to its target audience, but i think its a bit of a double edged sword cos he was in the spotlight having this sequel, so he has to make sure the AVERAGE person doesnt see it as just glorifying the street violence thats about now....its a fine line, i guess he could of had jay kill sam without it being all hyped and glorifyed but i guess his intentions were to send that message.maybe he got a lucky break. i enjoyed kidulthood anyways, and i rate him for where he has got himself either way.
