bare emotion flowin thru the threadbut music is timely, if u didnt f*ck with it then u cnt f*ck with it nowgo release A Millie and Regrets in the charts, same week, same promotion n see who will outsell who
Good music is timeless.
i dnt think soit has its time n place, when u listen to old tunes u gotta b in some kinda state, liek ppl i kno blaze up, or when ur jus jammin, or when u start thinkin bout old times, or when u see a TV program about a certain album then realise you havent listened to it in so long, so if fact its so good that u can listen to it certain timesdnt have about scenery to listen to a recent banger, but will play it while takin a sh*t, bangin a girl, on the bus pickin my nose, the possibilities are endless
Don't get the last bit but I'm saying this isn't rose tinted glasses, foolish nostalgia, these were critically acclaimed in their time and their reputations are unchanged now."When it comes to this cheese ya'll like three blind mice"

Tbh I gotta admit I always skipped through RD and only listened to certain tracks because, and this is the reason I never felt Jay-Z throughout his career, cos its just soft. The productions are immense, but its not like The Infamous, where the sh*t just makes you feel depressed, like thats some SERIOUS music, whereas songs on RD sound happy and sh*t I cant really explain it. Basically The Infamous is DARK and RD just aint got that kinda grimness about it. It dont seem as real to me.

Know what? I want to disagree with this post so badly and ask Cockney Thug point out where RD sounds as jolly as he's makin' out but I just thought about it like this..Everyone interprets music differently...That's a beautiful thing right there...

Oh.Well, the sheer smoothness and lusciousness is what I love about this album. I feel triumphant after I hear this sh*t. Very motivating album for me.

Nah man I ain't saying it sounds jolly. But I mean, it sounds smooth and produced and flawless even. And thats the kind of feel I get from nearly every Jay-Z record. Not saying its a bad thing, just saying its more to some peoples tastes than mine. The Infamous sounds more raw and grimey. You know what I can't even explain what I think.

How can you quote Infamous and not quote"Once we step thru the door, party over, that's the endinYou and your crew'll leave out, a bunch of dead menBump me and I'll bump you backYou ain't tough black, niggas like you just get their life jacked"The drop/flow/lyrics of that makes me smirk, not even a happy smirk. The smirk you have when everyone fusses over that one nice girl except you and then she pies everyone to come sit and speak with you.
