The music by itself is niceness, but I also like the MC aspect in there too.. The sing along aspect is itself a niceness. If they're talkin the good ish.I can/do both but am an MC from morning.I should be hosting Clive's show in Rinse tomorrow night anyway if you wanna hear what I'm about stil.Defo, will defo bless the phone line.Tippa, did you lock in fam?f*ck*ng forgot didnt i...and the funny thing is i was locked to the dj before and heard him say Good Vibe Clive on after... then my girlfriend pissed me off, so i went out the yard like some dappy to sulk at my mums...How did it go... you get the international listeners on lock?Show was a niceness. Clive does it mad soulful so it was just a hosting thing really.Only touched for last hour cos of the slap I had to do to get there but was bless.Aint been on Rinse since like 02 but was a brand new studio number so was kinda dead tbh.Studio is bless tho. Roy Batty Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 The funniest thing is that what is happening now in the house scene is exactly the same thing that happened with house and garage in 95 96 when all the mcs who left jungle started reaching the sunday night events cos all the girls where there and began holding the mic there over sped up US beats and the odd UK production. And that then split up into people who played darker broken up beats with mcs such as neat, dt, rankin and psg, and people who played the smoother housier stuff without anything more than a host. just the ravers now are just young enough to not remember it happenin first time round.Nuff of them dont know their history. I was actually gonna go as far as saying Coldsteps reminds me of MC Neat vocally but got scared of backlash lol. Its the exact same thing.IMO until So Solid started making dubplates post-Dillema times they werent really spitting bars, hence dudes that got into it later dont rate man like Neuch, Mega and Romey but liked Wiley and them.'Casualty' was just a bunch of hosting bars IMO. People either dont know or forget that Bound 4 Da Reload was everytime he wanted the beat to pull up man would buss the"Bound for da bound bound" chat (old skool)in the melody of 007 theme tune. Thats also why I think them man were on a different level to HLC and them 'cause they could put it down when they wantd to but still host, whereas HLC lean more to the hosting side.
