Not sure if topic has been covered but im posting anyway...Girls if you got married or you are married would/did you keep your surname?? or adopt your husbands surname fully or mix both surnames to be double barrelled?Guys would you expect your wife to be to fully take on your surname. (eg you bring Mr Smith and her becoming Quonisha Smith)Is it the done thing (in this so called day and age? eg. Miss Brown becomes Quonisha Brown-Smith) Or do you expect to follow tradition?Apply the same for children you may or may not have yet.Opinions and views please...

Yeah when I get married, I would like my wife to take my surname if not then at least double barrelour surnames. IMO it kinda shows a sense of closeness. Having different surnames would seem nuts.iS Quonisha a real person by the way?

i have my mothers maiden name, my grandmothers namei didnt take my dads namein education i use a double barrel name tho, my grandma and grandadseff my dads name, his bit on the birth certificate was left BLANK
