So there are apps that only work on v3.1.3 then?

Also if you get the new update and jailbreak again do you lose everything from the previous jailbreak? Cracked apps & Cydia tweaks?

yeah a few of the new apps need up to date firmware to work,

you loose all your cydia sh*t and tweaks but non of your cracked apps or games.....

takes bout 30mins to re-install all ur cydia sh*t.

Right the good news is i've managed to get my hands on a 32gb 3GS

The bad news is, its locked to Orange on 3.1.3

Nothing yet. There's work in the pipeline, but this update seemed to be more of a BLOCK for JB and Unlocks rather than anything else.

So if you have updated to 3.1.3 without using PwnageTool_3.1.5 then you're going to be stuck using an official network for a while.

To add with the unlocks it's Free for Contract users on o2. £15 for PAYG on o2 after the 1st year.

Its £15-£20 can't remember proper on Orange UK contract/paug but you need to have the phone registered for 3Months+

So I had this all yesterday and this morning, was looking up the reasons and trying out the fixes on the internet. Turns out I gave it a bit of a spit shine popped it back in and it's now working. f*ck*ng thing.

So I had this all yesterday and this morning, was looking up the reasons and trying out the fixes on the internet. Turns out I gave it a bit of a spit shine popped it back in and it's now working. f*ck*ng thing.

Okay, I found out that it wasn't because it needed a spit shine it was because the sim doesn't fit flush in the sim holder. What I've done for now is wrap selotape around it to make it sit flush and booked it in for the genius bar treatment tomorrow. I found out while on the phone to Apple that (if anyone remembers) when I took my iPhone back last time I didn't get a refurb I got a completely new phone. So ATM I got 200 days left of warranty when I shouldn't have any. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a brand new phone then next pay day I'll take out insurance, smash the screen on this 3G and hopefully get a 3GS off the insurance company.
