ViP2 FIFA09 Tournament February 2009 (360)

Make a post/post your gamertag to register for the February tournament. Rules + confirmation of format will be posted following the the sign up deadline for Friday 6th February. with the view of the draw to take place on either Sat 8th/Sun 9th.Opinions on themes of the tourney are welcome. i.e. no team restrictions / 4 star teams etc.

Group Stage Rules(1) Each player will play everyone twice. A total of 6 matches. It would be ideal to play 2 matches at once.(2) Win = 3 pts, Draw = 1 pts, Loss = 0 pts.(3) The top 2 will qualify for knockout rounds. (3b) 1st place = Pot 1 for knockout draw. 2nd place = Pot 2 for knockout draw.(4a.) Goal difference will be considered if people have the same amount of points. (4b.) If GD is the same then you have to play each other over 2 legs .(5) In the event of connection difficulties, the match will then be played on BAP (Still to be tested)(6) In the event of the connection being lost during a game, the game must be restarted and own goals must be scored to make the score as it was. Then one player must keep the ball until the time on the clock reaches where it was when the connection was lost and then play on.(7) All games must be played by the deadline.(8) If the group has not finished playing their games by the deadline then we will still proceed with the top 2 teams.(9) Anyone deliberately avoiding/ignoring people's attempts to arrange a match will be kicked out.(10) Team selection - The team you select for your first game will be the same team you use throughout the group stages. You can change your team if you advance to the next round. Air Max NinetyMy suggestion is Champions League, we've already had an FA/Carling cup style tournie. 16 heads (or more if we get more during sign ups), 4 groups of 4, Me, Fitz, Fatz and Skemar are seeded into seperate groups as we're the ''Top 4'' after the January tournament. The other 12 participants get drawn into groups as usual.Play each other twice in group stages, normal rules apply, 90 minute results only count, 1 point for a draw, 3 for a win and so on...Top 2 from each group goes through.Don't think many people with agree with the club restrictions but I will be playing with a 4* club this month.
