the timing to throw Ryu out of his backdash has to be exact. He loses invincibility and isn't airborne on the 8th or 9th frame (correct me if I'm wrong), so u can actually throw him before he backdashes, it just has to be timed after he loses invincibility and before he actually hops backwards.
