This WAS true years ago. Now it's not at all true. I've found many things on Warez.bb that I cannot find in even the best newsgroups.

And fwiw, IRC has ALWAYS had releases before Newsgroups/Torrents/Forums etc.

Also, LOL at ISPs doing anything nowadays.

I must have downloaded countless petabytes of sh*t in my time and never had a peep from any of my ISPs.
