Don't get why people think there is some correlation to higher fees and people beginning to value their degree and not "treating uni like a party ". After all, America has high fees, and some of the stories I have heard about uni students there, suggests their drinking is just as crazy. And they aren't even meant to drink until they are 21.
bruv, u will never win this debate with memy basic argument is that people these days (the masses, the poor, the lower middle classes C2s etc) are too lazy and don't work hard/smart enough/value what they currently haveMy social research/experience generally shows this to be the case

errr, I work for a think tank - that's what we do, you know...research/Also note I said experience as well, silly boy. I am good at whatever it is I do, I know about a real grind. Srsly, if you don't know about pursuing a dream and thinking about it and working towards it all of your waking life, then you cannot chat sh*t to me. /let's actually debate this argument for argument rather than cheap shotsIt can't happen because very few of you actually know what the f*ck you're talking about other than what Jon Snow talks about on Channel 4 News.As for Brisco, guy's irrelevant. Any little criminal from south.

what is there to debate? if everyone got a 1st it would still largely depend on the university they went, and who they knowthe so called elite universities do not graduate smarter people, just people whom an elitist system shape into what their vision of the world should be.

OK. You make a valid point here and one I largely agree with. However, you have also missed the point. I wasn't emphasising working hard to get a first etc etc I'm talking about what you learn internally from working. What it teaches one about the real value of sh*t, how much more we can achieve if we work smart, rather than "hard".This isn't all I'd really want to say on this, but typing is long, and I'm finishing a presentation.

how ironic.
I was talking about someone as smart as Carpe has shown himself to be.With you, anything goes. You never actually contribute anything to an intellectual discussion.

when you said people are too lazy, you make it seem as if they were taught but showed no eagerness to learn.but thats for another day.

LOL @ Yilmaz. Come across like some arrogant prick, about I will never win this argument with you. Was I even directly arguing with you? I was talking about a general perception. :D And I said, where is the correlation in higher fees and people appreciating a degree more?!?if you have research on that, drop it for me to read.

I don't think it's as small as you man are making outI'm willing to accept it's a minority, but I don't think it's such a miniscule minority that it's hardly worth mentioningSwear someone got shanked at a uni rave the other night, by some people from a 'rival uni'

Look, A LOT of people go to/have been to university. NEARLY ALL take it seriously! Just because a lot like to party, doesn't mean they don't take uni seriously. You and Yilmaz are silly to think it's a common thing. Even if people have to retake years, doesn't mean anything tbh.

I reserve the right to judge as many people at once as I likeYou may think every individual is a blossoming flower but I think en masse humans are like a virus and will follow the status quo until their dying breathsI don't see how you lot can think it is SO unfeasible that some guys, whether in education or on the marches, just wanna f*ck around, get their degree and do something elsePeople with fashion degrees working in PR, people with history degrees working in marketing, it's all fine, I don't have problem with it, but at least own up when you know it's just there for the sake of it, and don't try and make me care about your raised fees when you don't even know what you're doing in the first place
