He could well be, for a long time there has seemed to be no plan B, though getting Chamakh in the first place seemed to indicate the start of one. But then again I hope he hasn't lost faith in the 4-3-3 variation, it wasn't so much the formation in itself was wrong it was the personnel used within it, now would be an ideal time to address this.Of course if he can bring in players to give tactical strength in depth then it's even more of a bonus. On a related note. Chelsea are prepared to sell Mikel and want 15m. Brilliant passer, dominant in the air, strong in the challenge, good positionally, African...Arsene should make this a priority, and finally have a viable defensively-adept option for the holding role.

Where did you read this?If true, Wenger should make this a top, top, top, priority. Although, I don't see AVB selling him for some reason. Judging by his Porto team last season, he'll play his 4-3-3 & he likes the enforcer, passer, creator combination & with Essien's fitness worries, I don't see him going.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2011610/Chelsea-ready-cash-John-Mikel-Obi.html#ixzz1RIzr3FkxSmall Article, there was a bit on talk sport about it Friday too & it gathered a bit of steam. But yes with Essiens new long-term injury it doesn't make sense AVB would want to sell him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he brought Fernando in / Was happy with Ramirez & another replacement.Arsene has a targetman, Marouane Chamakh, he may not be as much of a threat as Fernando Llorente, but then he would cost upwards of £20m, is likely to join Real Madrid, and would be far too expensive a player considering the style of football Arsenal like to play - add to that, that goals, have never been as problem, not from the first team anyway, the defensive side of the game and tactical discipline/steel have been Arsenals undoing. Llorente wouldn't help this.If you ask me which player is needed more, Mikel, or someone with his qualities, or Llorente, I'd pick Mikel.

Generally speaking, only English players are overpriced in that manner.Arsene always buys cheap. I think it's almost unanimously decided that this window he needs to be prepared to do the opposite.

After 10+ games in a Arsenal shirt there is no way you will still be calling Gago a good DM.Llorente is likely to cost 35m+ including taxes and he would easily fit@ArsenalHe is actually good with both feet(he is not Crouch or Zigic)Would have him@Real ahead of any targetmen in world football

Lass is heading back to the Prem(AVB needs an enforcer but I don't know if Mourinho will do business with him) but I think he will be sick@Milan or even PSG.Seriously if it was up to me I would give Arsenal Gago for free and pay his wages. You haven't got a forward pass in your locker, no skill,no pace,no strength cannot tackle and call yourself a DM? Take him!

I am saying Gago cannot tackle nor pass or even shoot and also lacks pace/strength.Gago is very average. How did this guy keep Banega out of the team@Boca? If you watched Real on a regular basis you will clearly see this guy offers nada apart making the other team look like they have an extra player!Yes Real don't treat players good but in contrast they treat the average like VIP
