i realy doubt jol would come out with that after one bad performance from berba....he does have favourites tho...if keane starts again against man u it is a pure pisstake...
Very much doubt Ramos would quit so soon, his side are in the Champions League and he'd want to test himself against the best. Plus his made his side stronger and they pose a geniune title threat, why leave it all behind.
Berbatov turning bitter over Jol's rotation policyMartin Samuel, Chief Football Correspondent and Kaveh SolhekolPressure is continuing to mount on Martin Jol, the Tottenham Hotspur manager, who may be heading for a fallout with one of his key players.Dimitar Berbatov, the forward Tottenham are battling to keep after interest from Manchester United this summer, is believed to be unhappy with the rotation system that Jol intends to implement for his strikers this season. And there is a suspicion that Berbatov may have been unsettled by the speculation linking him with a £20 million move to Old Trafford – particularly as he has suffered least in Jol’s policy of switching his front men.The Bulgaria player started the opening two games of the season but missed Saturday’s 4-0 win over Derby County because of a groin injury. He has made it plain that he will not be satisfied if Jol insists on alternating several options, with Robbie Keane, Darren Bent and Jermain Defoe also in the squad. This is a massive headache for Jol, who is fighting to save his job after a poor start to the season. Senior Tottenham executives are believed to have been in discussion with Juande Ramos, the Seville manager, while Jol’s relationship with Damien Comol-li, the director of football, is said to be at breaking point. United made a big play for Berbatov at the start of the summer, but were told he was not for sale. Since then, Sir Alex Ferguson has seen his forward line struggle to score goals while Wayne Rooney has suffered a foot injury. The club would ideally do business even before the match at home to Tottenham on Sunday. There is interest in Obafemi Martins, of Newcastle United, and Nicolas Anelka, the Bolton Wanderers striker, but Berbatov represents the pick of the bunch.Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, will be hugely motivated to keep Berbatov happy, and these latest events could not have come at a worse time for Jol. He admitted at the weekend that he has heard whispers about his future from within the club.Jol has received support from Bent. The striker, who joined from Charlton Athletic for a fee in excess of £16 million, said: “It is absolutely ridiculous for the manager to be under pressure so soon. He has achieved so much in the last two seasons.”El-Hadji Diouf has admitted that he is considering leaving Bolton. Sammy Lee’s team are bottom of the Barclays Premier League and the Senegal forward has told his manager that he wants to play for a more ambitious club. Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic and Lyons have expressed an interest, but are unwilling to match Bolton’s valuation of £10 million.“There are five clubs who want me but I don’t want to go just for the sake of going,” Diouf said. “If I go, I will go to a big club. I want to play in the Champions League or Uefa Cup, but I want to stay in England. I’m happy to play for Bolton, but I’m not happy with the results.”
Spurs will be in a relegation battle by xmas if they sack Jol.Not about bringing in a non english speaking coach who has no time to make his own signings. Please do it Spurs
All these bullshit rumours about Spurs at the moment. All of a sudden the majority seem to be believing what they read in NOTW.The TRUE story, one which i knew on the sunday after the Sunderland match is as follows -Following Berbatov's sub for the useless sh*t Defoe, naturally he was unhappy. After the game when the players went into the dressing room, all the players were blaming each other, not the manager, Berbatov did not blame Jol, Jol did not blame Berbatov, there was no row, Berbatov was blaming the players around him, shite like Stalteri, Defoe, Gardner and Zokora, in which he had a massive right to. Which has seemingly caused friction among some Spurs players and Berbatov, blaming Berbatov's ego. There seems to be 2 groups in the Spurs dressing room, as was highlighted with the players celebrating with the dropped Zokora at the weekend and ignoring Jol. There are problems, but Jol is defintely not the cause of them.
Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has not fallen out with boss Martin Jol, according to the player's agent. Reports on Tuesday suggested Jol wanted to sell Berbatov, who had reacted angrily after being substituted during Spurs' 1-0 defeat at Sunderland. "One thing I can tell you for sure is that there is not a problem between Martin Jol and Dimitar," Emil Dantchev told BBC Sport. "They have discussed the football situation but that is normal." More soon.
