Tottenham have reportedly failed in a bid to sign Bolivia striker Marcelo Moreno, according to Cruzeiro president Alvimar Perrella. The 20-year-old has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, but it appears only Spurs and Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk have made their interest official. However, Tottenham have been told their offer is unacceptable according to the Brazilian club and, while Shakhtar appear to have met the £6m asking price, the player is understood to be reluctant to move to the Ukraine. And while Parrella expects Spurs to return with a new bid, he is eager to hold onto the player for now. "The proposal was well short of what we expected," he said. "For now, Moreno remains here and we count on him in Brazil. "Of course, they should return to make a new offer but, until now, no (they haven't)." As Moreno is part-owned by foreign businessmen, Cruzeiro would receive just 40 per cent of any transfer fee and, as a result, Parrella insists he is reluctant to sell. "I am not urging him to accept because Cruzeiro only holds 40 per cent," he added. "If we had 100 per cent, I would be very interested that he leaves but, with 40 per cent, I prefer him not to go. "The negative response left us satisfied and I hope we continue with this thought."
We gunna be bidding again apparently, anyone even heard of the guy?

Samuel Eto'o has told skysports.com he would relish the opportunity of a move to the Premier League, with Tottenham reported to be lining up a bid. The Barcelona striker has been strongly linked with a 19million euros (£15million) move to White Hart Lane this summer. Spurs are believed to be preparing a swoop for the Cameroon international with speculation continuing over the future of Dimitar Berbatov. ChallengeAnd Eto'o has already set his sights on topping the Premier League goal-scoring charts if he moves to England. He told skysports.com: "The Premiership is a top league, so to play there will be fantastic and a good challenge. "I want to be a "Pichichi" (top scorer) there as well. I am a top player and I can play in any country."
Swear all this speculation is starting to make me think Eto'o will be at our club next season!

Lee Young-pyo believes his time at Tottenham is at an end and is keen for a move in the summer. Since leaving PSV Eindhoven in 2005, the full-back has struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane The South Korean international had stated he was committed to Spurs despite seeing very little action this season, but now appears to favour a move elsewhere in order to find more playing time. "This is a point in my life that I need a change and I must make the best decision for myself," he was quoted as saying in The Korea Times. "The most important thing for me is to be happy and have fun playing on the pitch. It doesn't matter where I play." His former club PSV are reportedly monitoring the player's situation.
Gunna miss all the random south koreans at the lane that start cheering every time the guy touches the ball :D

I could post the replies, but im almost in tears here. 85% reckon they have a very good chance of signing him based on the fact he liked Alan Sherear when he was younger.SMH x 349959349569369303505384564634576999999999999999999999
