Photo by Paul Wood.Detectives investigating the murder of a man in north London hours after he celebrated the New Year are following up "several lines of inquiry".Henry Bolombi, 18, of Wyldfield Gardens, Lower Edmonton, was stabbed to death after getting off a night bus in Edmonton early on New Year's Day.He was with a group of nine friends who had been celebrating in central London.The friends had a row with a number of youths who chased them into Plevna Road where Mr Bolombi was stabbed.A Metropolitan Police spokesman said investigations were continuing and detectives were following up several lines of inquiry.Mr Bolombi had travelled home from the New Year celebrations with his friends on the number 279 bus.The group got off in Fore Street where they became involved in an argument with another group of youths outside a supermarket.The friends were then chased along Fore Street into Plevna Road where officers found the victim at about 0630 GMT.He was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was pronounced dead.Soud Lahrichi, a friend of Mr Bolombi, said: "Henry was funny, smart, sweet. It's another young person gone, another young person who is not going to wake up tomorrow."It's another young person who is not going to see his birthday."

Not saying he should have died, but from what I hear, he was in a gang that was in active beef with Totty, and when him and his boys got off the bus, they saw these Totty guys and got in an argument. You carry yourself in certain ways, and you should preapre for certain outcomes.

Was Wrong with talking to police?Is not until is a member of your family or sum 1 tight to you involved that man dem will be willing to talk to the fedsIs nuts cus i had that mentality, Witnessed 1 guy get murdered but refused to chat to policeWhen i had my madness now was pissed bare where acting silly refusing to help the police
