Posted January 18, 2008 Report Share Posted January 18, 2008 White Male Awareness Group In todays world, There is representation for; Gays & Bisexuals, the Disabled, the Black community, the Asian community, Women and more, However. White men, in today's Society are unrepresented. Any movement to organize a support group for white men is seen as 'racist' and inappropriate, when in reality, white men are not immune to abuse, mental health issues, cancer, aids and can under achieve just like any other people. We are human by the way, and we do breathe the same air as everyone else. So why are we not taken seriously without being labeled as a racist or ignorant? This group is not set up to be a racist organization nor of a white supremacy intention. This group is to support and help each other as we CAN suffer just like any one else. We are not aliens and we do feel pain. I do not see the harm in offering this support to white men if there is a representation for every other community. Do feel free to join and talk about your problems. East London is not how they portray it. especially not in this day in age. East is full of Asians. Gus is a road sweeper, but he has a job just like Dr Truman. It seems to me that the show has touched on single white mothers I.E dawn. White people on benefits I.E Keith. White gangsters I.E Phil mitchell, Steve Owen, Jonny Allen etc. (I could go on) .. Alcoholics in the pub I.E mainly white people.. Yet it has been experienced that Patrick was a victim of crime as he was attacked by a white kid who also carried a gun (how ironic), Dr trumans brother was a victim at the hand of a white gangster, yolande wanted to give her possessions to charity and a white woman ended up selling them on, Yolande was a victim of buying a dodgy car sold to her by a white man I.E Kevin Wicks, Gus' Brother was a victim because he was with a white girl...
