I have to agree.Especially amongst people on here. After one good game a few goals Berbatov went from being a good European based player when he was @ Bayern, to a World Class 'he'll get into any team in the world' player, its laughable.World Class is reserved for the select few who do it over a consistent basis on the biggest stage at some of greatest clubs in the world.I remember getting canned on here for saying Henry wasn't World Class. If Henry is World Class then so is Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Joe Cole and flipping Rio Ferdinand.
Will someone please explain in what way Rio Ferdinand is NOT world class.Cos im strugling to see anything.
I'm a United fan and i can assure you Rio is not World Class. No World Cups, Champions League, European Cups, World Player of the Year or European Player of the Year.He doesn't even come close.
He lost with the first line. The second line just smacked it.LMAO. Who remembers when he said he goes to over 30 games a season.

World Class Player = Someone who has performed consistently at a high level for 3 or more years in a top league (RVN)World Class Ability = Someone who can do amazing things at times but lacks consistency (RVP)
I AGREE THAT THESE R 2 CATEGORIES& THAT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2

What about at international level?I think most ppl would have Gerrard as World Class and would happily accept that at any other team he would only improve them but for England he isnt exactly the greatest ever.LEGEND= Career spanning greatness at club OR international level. (You cant be a legend if your still playing)World class= Continuous great performances at club and international levelGreat player= Performs regularly at club level but doesnt do it for his countryI think you can be considered a "Great player" and a "Legend" without ever getting the "World class" statusIts hard cos who would say honestly that Gerrard isnt world class? Even though his performances for England have been below par.
