I meant in my experience. And I never said anything about Islam, its Muslims and I was also generalising. What was oxymoronic about it anyway even if I agree that that my view is naive.

****to say somethign about this actuall thread*****I do not know the people who you are talking about when you say about muslims this muslims that..But they are the same in christians in that you see any d*ckhead, they may be xristian or muslim, and they interperate the religion in their own way/how it is told to them.It isnt just muslims, you know christians do it, bare people on here claim to be christian yet when there is a thread about sex they FLY IN with some sordid stories.Thing ya gotta realise is, People are hypocrites in whatever they practice, why will religion be any different?SMH @ Hearin bollox from one muslim person and applying it to them all.'slike if man was to take the opinion of one of the christians from the KKK and assume all chrsitians thought like that..
i was told it says in the quran that music is frowned upon...assumed it was true and asked why

I knwo in the bible, everyhtign that has said about Lucifer being in control of music while in heaven etc was basically true, that could be a reason?Although people be interpreting sh*t in their own way, so the person may have been chattin sh*t..I wasnt directing that poast @ you really, P, just some of the comments people been making within..

Taxi driver the other day was talking to me about this....just come out of seeing spor (hardest dnb on earth) and then he said do i like this music.....i sed its ok...he started goin on about how its actually poetry and that theres loads of these islamic cds that are poetry and not music...then tellin me islam is against music because it creates a artificial feeling being possitive or negative, and that feeling should only be pure and natural...he even said he hopes i become a muslim one day...nice bloke...
music doesn't create artificial feeling it conjours up real emotion, that's why they say music is for the soul.

why does Islam frown upon music?I think that many religions have touches of truth in them, and i believe in a god although I'm not religious. However music is like life to me and I've been told that the Muslim religion frowns upon it. Why?
