Tim Burton's new film version of Alice in Wonderland will not be screened at Odeon cinemas in the UK, Irish Republic and Italy, the cinema chain says. The move is in response to the Disney studio's plan to reduce the period in which it can be shown only in cinemas from the standard 17 weeks. The plan would allow Disney to release the film on DVD at the end of May.Odeon said it would "set a new benchmark, leading to a 12-week window becoming rapidly standard".Cineworld cinemas will show the movie, however, after reaching an independent agreement with the Disney studio. The Vue chain is also understood to have reached an agreement with Disney, details of which are due to be announced shortly.Odeon's decision will not affect the film's Royal premiere on Thursday, which is coincidentally set to take place at the Odeon Leicester Square in central London.

Watched 'Valentines Day'Alright film that. Thought it dragged on in parts, especially considering it centred all around a day and half of these peoples livesAston Kutcher is a funny lad.Wanted to see more of Jessica Alba though, bummed !Jaime Foxx emotive as ever ha.Wouldn't recommend watching it without female company./'A Prophet' masterpieceFrom the onset everything about it seemed very natural.Enjoyed it all, kinda wish it went on for a bit more, ha.

anyone seen Me And You And Everyone We Know??
Yeah, I though it was a bit of a letdown.I loved the two Miranda July books I read before seeing the film, and the reviews I seen of the film were all pretty positive, so I had high expectations, but it didn't really live up to them. I think if I'd went in completely unaware of the books or the reviews of the film I'd have liked it more. It's worth watching, but it's not a patch on either of her books.

"Avatar" will win it at the Oscars, the judges on the Bafta judges and Oscar side of things are different, there is so much lobbying and politicking for the Oscars where as here they don't do all that. The Americans went gooey gaga over that film, more so than any where else in the world, "Hurt Locker" winning the Bafta for me was the right choice, it's a better film, a much better story and better characters. Sorry but "Avatar" and I know this forum has many fans but it's story is sh*t, it's far too long!Kathryn Bigelow (she's a looker) to take 'Best Director'

ye she looked quite hot in this, even for a tomboy alleged to be a dyke. :lol:the mountains float cos of the strong magnetic fields and the flux generated is enough to lift them.the gun they didnt really say but i think was probably from trudy cos she had access to weapons. or it could of been from a past fight where the humans left it behind or something. it wasnt a human gun tho, must of been from the amp suits.as for the 5 fingers thats cos the avatars have a bit of human dna aswell as na'vi dna. same reason why sigourny weavers avatar had basically a human nose.
