Messy Posted June 22, 2008 Report Share Posted June 22, 2008 parking tickets are cunts i have to write a letter tonight appealing against one i got last week.i was in clapham outside debenhams and i went to buy a ticket and the ticket machine was taped over with a notice saying 'buy ticket in Beauchamp road' so i proceeded to waddle (yes waddle) to the other road which took me literaly 8 or so minutes cos i walk really slow at the mo.i put the ticket on my car go into debenhamscome out ,take the sticky ticket off and chuck it like i always do.get home then notice the parking ticket wedged right in the passenger corner. i was so pissed off i opened it and the ticket officer had waited by my car 17.00 -17.06 it took me longer than that to walk to the other ticket machine and back!!!! and i was extra pissed cos id chucked the f*ckin ticket away,i wanted to cry, 3120 or £60 in 14 days they are taking the piss im not paying them f*ck all im gona write the shittiest letter ever,i swear the road seemed a mile long to go get my tickt Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SO my mum sent them a letter and they sent one back with pictures of me on the yellow line and the ticket on my car. obviously someone took it off. You can still pay the lesser amount right?& before someone gets on their high horse with a silly reply like "NO" best come with facts why not?Or if yes, then what arguments can be applied upon losing your appeal so your council don't take you for Northen RockAlways been intrigued but never bothered to chase up that part of the law. I was on that long road from Wandsworth to Battersea/Vauxhall, and I'm positive I was doing 30 something when the road was 40 (or 20 something if the road was 30, basically I know I was doing less), but I saw a flash as I went past. Now, I was sure it wasn't me, but it's got me parro. I'm not looking to get any points on my license, and I can't pass the points on the mumzy in law as it was her car I was driving. My friend told me not to worry about it. He said if it's not there wihtin a few days, it's cool, nuff of them are faulty anyways.Another thing, I have heard about people getting speeding tickets, and just writing othert people's addresses and letting the DVLA chase them. How feasible is this? Do they eventually come back to you? Bear in mind the people that have done this have never heard anything regarding that speeding offence since they gave someone else's address.
