But WTF is bootrom? I got my 3GS in March last year and it's already unlocked to all networks so can I jailbreak the bludclart ting or not? If its not jailbroken at the moment, and u can out any sim in its factory unlcked (bit obvious but said it just to re-iterate) If thats the case go thru with the jb bro, all this baseband sh*t, ultrsn0w sh*t u'll b reading will be of no relevance. Not 100% sure what bootrom is but from memory i've never needed to look into any of that when iv jb'd Safe. But which JB do I have to use? Coz I'm hearing all this beta stuff and whatnot. Which jb u use depends on which fw u wanna go on. Me personally, am on 4.2 on a 3g and i used redsn0w but this was back in dec/early jan time. Ur best bet is youtubing fw 4.2 onwards and literally going through as many descriptions of videos as possible so u can get an understanding of what program u need to use cos sometimes u need different programs for mac/windows and dofferent programs for 3gs or 3g etc etc Dont jump in to it, spend a good while looking into it. Everything was bless till I went studio later and plugged in a pair of Beats by Dre headphones. The phone reset then said connect to iTunes to activate phone. Rage. Had to wait till I got in later, anyway went to restore it and it ended up getting stuck in recovery mode and wouldn't restore - Error 1013. RAGE Went back to the Apple Store this morning and managed to twang them and get another one without them clocking it was hacked. Summary of story?
