Just thought I'd let you lot know how the game is since I seem to be the only guy playing it <_<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Remnant#GameplayThe game is decent so far and its set to be very lengthy (my guess is 30+ hours), there's a lot to do already with guild tasks, quests and general exploration and thats only the first discThe battle system is good and unique at that. Its turn-based but on a much larger scale. You can control a maximum of 5 Unions each containing 5 Units; so thats a maximum of 25 characters under your control. However. in order to simplfy everything, you dont give each unit a command, but instead give the Union a generic command (for example Attack, heal, stand-by etc) so they all do the same or similar actions. This adds a strategic feel to the gameThe story is a slow one however, but it begins to pick up as you progress...cant go into much detail as I'm still playing throughhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Remnant#PlotThe reviews of the game haven't been so great though. Gamespot gave it a 6.5 however Famitsu gave it 38/40. They mainly mark it down due to the technical performance. There's a lot of framrate issues, texture pop-in etc, but to be honest, if you've played any other game that use the Unreal 3 Engine, you're probably used to seeing them inconsistancies there. Plus, this are reduced if you instal the game as well. To end (lol), if you lilke turn-based games as well as games that have a strategy element this is the game for you :rolleyes:

Actually hate how Xbox360 are getting all the sick RPG's, and PS3 just has FPS after FPS Is a pisstake, I remember both PS1 and PS2 had bare RPG's to enjoy Dont get me wrong they are like 1 or 2 RPG's but thier sh*t compared to these epic square-enix ones

lol That's a tough one...Lost Oddysey was pure old school goodness, like how Final Fantasy was and should be. At the moment Lost Oddysey is still tops for me, but The Last Remnant could change that... it offers a lot to the plate but is just bogged down with slowdowns etc

We will see this sometime next yearmy guy is actaully playing the Last Remnant NOWand what are most PS3 guys playing, ethier COD or PRO/FIFAPS3 is a joke, needed RPG's for time and thier answering to this by relasing White Knight Chronicles next year and God knows when FFX-13 is comming out

Who are the FF original guys, I want in.Actually brought FFX the other day for like £4, tired of PS3All I need is a memory card smh, cant even bang it out yet

Can't find it but I heard SCEJ were translating the game for a long time. End of December methinks.

would this game be any good to someone who got bored half way through the second disc of Lost Odyssey?
Kinda hard to say... what did you get bored with?
not really bored but the realisation that it was gonna take me 30+ hours to complete made me trade it inbut this was when i used to trade in games on a regs coz i didnt have any moneydoes it have the same music in every in every battle?...and does it take long to get into any action e.g the first 1/4 of Lost Odyssey

The music changes within the battle and not not every fight has the same music.. if you're doing well it changes to a more triumphant tune... if you're doing bad it changes to a more "you destined to fail tune"The story of this game takes a while to build up, but theres no shortage of action and fighting on the way
