aite, so attempt #2 on the Caribbean rice recipe

kidney beans this time (tinned), you say I should boil them in the coconut milk for more than a hour yeah?

straight from the tin i just boil the kidney beans, spring onion, chopped onion garlic, allspice berries, thyme, scotch bonnet in coconut milk & water and butter for 10-20 mins (or till all the veg have softened)

then add the rice and make sure the water level is about 1.25 cm above the rice then stir once then cover....

another 10-15 and the rice should be perfectly cooked

Got some lamb steaks, gonna chuck them on the George Foreman when I get back from training.

But anytime I season meat then put it on there the seasoning burns.

Any tips?

i dno bout grills, but do u jus use dry seasonin?

have u tried mixin it up with some lime juice,?

low heat slow grill setting?

how come u put sugar in?

god knows, one of the girls mentioned it back a few pages so I thought why not try it

it tastes good but I can tell I put in too much, thing is my chicken was sweet enough so it didn't really make sense

I need to actually plan meals in advance in the future instead of randomly picking up ingredients on the way home and seeing if they'll work
