No Pato

Dunga is a c*nt

Dunga knows he has to win the WC because he has turned the country against himself.

Why would someone post the Portuguese squad again?

Have you seen Portugal's back ups !

Spain by far have the strongest squad but won't win the WC due to not starting Senna and keeping Iker as number one.

Brazil

For those who don't know

Ronaldinho and Adriano have been left out of Brazil coach Dunga's 23-man squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa.

Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is one of the three shot-stoppers named, while Wolfsburg striker Grafite is the surprise inclusion at the expense of Flamengo's Adriano.

Dunga admitted former Inter Milan forward Adriano was granted numerous chances to impress and failed to do so, leading to his omission.

"Adriano was given several opportunities," said Dunga, who lifted the World Cup as captain in 1994 and will now bid for the Selecao's sixth World Cup win.

"There was a moment when we made a decision about the group. The group always welcomed Adriano, but there is a moment when reason talks louder than the heart."

The 30-year-old Ronaldinho, who was the Fifa World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005, has been in good form for AC Milan this season but has missed out on Dunga's squad for the finals in 2010, denying him the chance to add a second World Cup crown to the one he won in 2002.

One of his team-mates in 2002, former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson, has made it into the squad after rediscovering his best form back in Brazil with Flamengo.

Test

The coach also opted to leave out Santos duo Paulo Henrique and Neymar, revealing the duo failed to impress enough while on international duty.

"I have to test the players when they are in the national team," he said. "I follow their form in their clubs, but why didn't you (the media) want them in the squad in December or January?

"These players are enormously talented, but I cannot prepare a national team for 2014 if I have to win today."

AC Milan's Alexandre Pato has also failed to win selection after a less-than-impressive season in Italy.

Inter Milan trio Julio Cesar, Maicon and Lucio will be three of the most important players in the squad after helping the Nerazzurri clinch a berth in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Brazil have been drawn in Group G alongside North Korea, Ivory Coast and Portugal and Dunga called for the fans to back the team, regardless of their thoughts on him as coach.

"I beg the Brazilian fan that they support us," he said. "If they don't like me or any other thing, that's fine, but I want him to support us, to be a patriot."

Brazil squad:

Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (Roma), Heurelho Gomes (Tottenham); Maicon (Inter Milan), Dani Alves (Barcelona), Lucio (Inter Milan), Juan (Roma), Luisao (Roma), Thiago Silva, Gilberto (Cruzeiro), Michel Bastos (Lyon); Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Felipe Melo (Juventus), Josue (Wolfsburg), Elano (Galatasaray), Ramires (Benfica), Kleberson (Flamengo), Kaka (Real Madrid), Julio Baptista (Roma); Robinho (Santos/Manchester City), Nilmar (Villarreal), Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Grafite (Wolfsburg).

ITALY

Francesco Totti has been omitted from Italy's provisional World Cup squad despite his form for Roma.

Italy coach Marcello Lippi has kept faith with the squad that helped the Azzurri secure a spot at the finals.

Widespread reports had suggested Totti could return to the fold after retiring from international duty following the World Cup triumph in 2006.

Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi was included as a seventh striker at the expense of Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie and is the only foreign-based player in the squad, but there is no place for Roma forward Luca Toni or Juventus veteran Alessandro Del Piero.

Toni had hoped that his loan move from Bayern Munich to Roma would help him secure a place in Lippi's squad.

Del Piero, meanwhile, had an indifferent season in Serie A and will not travel to the finals, bringing an end to his run of appearances at major finals for his country.

Italy squad: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Morgan De Sanctis (Napoli), Federico Marchetti (Cagliari), Salvatore Sirigu (Palermo); Gianluca Zambrotta, Fabio Cannavaro (Juventus), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Christian Maggio (Napoli), Leonardo Bonucci (Bari), Fabio Grosso (Juventus), Domenico Criscito (Genoa), Mattia Cassani (Palermo), Salvatore Bocchetti (Genoa); Andrea Pirlo (Milan), Gennaro Gattuso (Milan), Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Riccardo Montolivo (Fiorentina), Mauro Camoranesi (Juventus), Angelo Palombo (Sampdoria), Antonio Candreva (Juventus), Andrea Cossu (Cagliari), Claudio Marchisio (Juventus), Simone Pepe (Udinese); Fabio Quagliarella (Napoli), Giuseppe Rossi (Villarreal), Vincenzo Iaquinta (Juventus), Antonio Di Natale (Udinese), Marco Borriello (Milan), Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina), Giampaolo Pazzini (Sampdoria).

HOLLAND

Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk has left striker Ruud van Nisetelrooy out of his 30-man preliminary World Cup squad.

The former Manchester United star had retired from international football after Euro 2008 but reversed that decision this season.

The 33-year-old made a loan move to German side Hamburg in an attempt to regain fitness and form that would propel him into Van Marwijk's plans.

But his attempts to recover from his injury-hit spell at Real Madrid have fallen short, meaning his international career looks to be all-but over.

And Van Marwijk felt the front man would be unable to rediscover the form that plundered 33 goals in 64 appearances in the famous orange jersey.

Van Marwijk told AD Sportwereld: "I told him that we have followed him closely and admire his commitment and dedication to get to the World Cup.

"I believe that Ruud is fit, but after his lengthy knee injury he does not have time to get back to his old level."

AC Milan's Clarence Seedorf doesn't feature in the initial party that includes Premier League regulars Dirk Kuyt, Ryan Babel, Nigel de Jong and John Heitinga.

UEFA Champions League finalists Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich) and Wesley Sneijder (Inter Milan) make the party, as does Real Madrid star Rafael van der Vaart.

Van Marwijk's only surprise comes in the form of the omission of young Vitesse Arnhem goalkeeper Piet Velthuizen, who was overlooked in favour of more experienced FC Twente stopper Sander Boschker.

Netherlands squad:

Sander Boschker (FC Twente), Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax), Piet Velthuizen (Vitesse), Michel Vorm (FC Utrecht); Khalid Boulahrouz (Stuttgart), Joris Mathijsen (Hamburg), Andre Ooijer (PSV Eindhoven), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Feyenoord), Gregory van der Wiel (Ajax), Ron Vlaar (Feyenoord); Ibrahim Afellay (PSV Eindhoven), Vurnon Anita (Ajax), Otman Bakkal (PSV Eindhoven), Edson Braafheid (Celtic), Wout Brama (FC Twente), Demy de Zeeuw (Ajax), Orlando Engelaar (PSV Eindhoven), John Heitinga (Everton), Nigel de Jong (Manchester City), Stijn Schaars (AZ Alkmaar), David Mendes da Silva (AZ Alkmaar); Ryan Babel (Liverpool), Eljero Elia (Hamburg), Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Jeremain Lens (AZ Alkmaar).

FRANCE

Patrick Vieira and Karim Benzema have been left out of France's initial 30-man squad for the World Cup in South Africa.

Vieira's displays for Manchester City since arriving from Inter Milan in January have not been enough to impress Les Blues coach Raymond Domenech.

Benzema has struggled for regular action with Real Madrid following his summer switch and has also missed out on selection.

Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has been overlooked, but his Emirates Stadium team-mates Gael Clichy, William Gallas, Abou Diaby and Bacary Sagna are all included.

Franck Ribery, who is sweating over his participation in Bayern Munich's UEFA Champions League final with Inter on 22 May with the Bundesliga champions appealing his ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, is included.

Three members of Marseille's Ligue 1-winning squad - goalkeeper Steve Mandanda and forwards Hatem Ben Arfa and Mathieu Valbuena - are named, as are two Chelsea players, Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda.

France were drawn in Group A alongside hosts South Africa, Mexico and Uruguay, their opponents in their first game in Cape Town on 11th June.

France squad:

Cedric Carrasso (Bordeaux), Mickael Landreau (Lille), Hugo Lloris (Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Marseille); Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Gael Clichy (Arsenal), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), Rod Fanni (Rennes), William Gallas (Arsenal), Marc Planus (Bordeaux), Adil Rami (Lille), Anthony Reveillere (Lyon), Bacary Sagna (Arsenal), Sebastien Squillaci (Sevilla); Abou Diaby (Arsenal), Alou Diarra (Bordeaux), Lassana Diarra (Real Madrid), Yoann Gourcuff (Bordeaux), Yann M'Vila (Rennes), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Jeremy Toulalan (Lyon); Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea), Hatem Ben Arfa (Marseille), Jimmy Briand (Rennes), Djibril Cisse (Panathinaikos), Andre-Pierre Gignac (Toulouse), Sidney Govou (Lyon), Thierry Henry (Barcelona), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich), Mathieu Valbuena (Marseille).

SWITZERLAND

Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has kept faith with Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos in his 23-man squad for the World Cup.

The 25-year-old spent the end of the season on loan at Everton, making just three appearances.

There was no place for another Arsenaldefender, Johan Djourou, who only returned to action for the Gunners against Fulham on the final day of the season following a long-term knee injury.

"Senderos has had only a little match practice at club level, but he has always justified my confidence," said the veteran German coach.

Hitzfeld did spring a major surprise though by calling up 18-year-old midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The teenager has played just 45 minutes of international football - in a 3-1 friendly defeat against Uruguay in March and only made his debut for club side Basel last July.

Hitzfeld believes the Kosovo-born youngster could lift the national side, saying: "Shaqiri has produced some good performances for Basel and he can play several positions."

Hitzfeld retains much of the squad from the 2006 World Cup in Germany and has stood by experienced players such as injury-plagued striker Alexander Frei and 33-year-old midfielder Hakan Yakin.

There was also space in the 23 for West Ham midfielder Valon Behrami and Sampdoria's talented midfielder Marco Padalino but Johan Vonlanthen failed to make the squad following a knee injury.

Hitzfeld will prepare his squad in the Swiss Alps, before playing warm-up matches against Costa Rica, in Sion on 2nd June, and world champions Italy in Geneva on 5th June.

Switzerland face tournament favourites Spain, Chile and Honduras in Group H at the World Cup.

Switzerland Squad:

Goalkeepers: Diego Benaglio (Wolfsburg), Johnny Leoni (Zurich), Marco Woelfli (Young Boys).

Defenders: Stephan Lichtsteiner (Lazio), Stephane Grichting (Auxerre), Steve Von Bergen (Hertha Berlin), Philippe Senderos (Arsenal), Mario Eggimann (Hannover), Christoph Spycher (Eintracht Frankfurt), Reto Ziegler (Sampdoria).

Midfielders: Valon Behrami (West Ham), Gokhan Inler (Udinese), Benjamin Huggel (Basel), Gelson Fernandes (St. Etienne), Xherdan Shaqiri (Basel), Pirmin Schwegler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Tranquillo Barnetta (Bayer Leverkusen), Marco Padalino (Sampdoria).

Forwards: Alex Frei (Basel), Blaise Nkufo (Twente), Eren Derdiyok (Bayer Leverkusen), Hakan Yakin (Lucerne), Marco Streller (Basel).
