You want like a list of stuff we're doing to improve?Well, my personal plans are:2-3 hours training mode pretty much every day. That's up to an hour on execution (this will decrease as my execution continues to improve), and the rest testing things out against other characters.Aiming for around 100 matches a day online too - pretty much as a minimum. This will be a mixture of NE Heads and online scrubs, because you have to be able to beat ALL of it, and not get caught out by the bait stuff. 100 matches a day helps keep live execution in place, as well as learning about match ups in a live arena. More matches than this are needed, but 100 stops any rotting.Aside from actual time with the game, I spend a good couple of hours in total every day reading and watching match ups, gathering information. I've started righting it down and making a note of it, then testing it for myself in training mode and in matches to assess for myself how effective it is, on top of coming up with some stuff myself.Working mostly at the minute on my footsies and spacing - the more I play, and the more I improve, the more I realise how terrible this aspect of my game was at times. I play some matches entirely with normals purely to improve here.I also play regular sessions with a few friends (offline), and that helps push on to higher heights.Oh, and to really solidify my information, I'm working on a match-up folder. It'll have the frame data and match up information for every match up in the game, or at least, that's the aim - this is probably going over the top, but by having it to hand I hope to memorise things more quickly by having it available to read at all times - also, by constructing the 'guide', I should absorb a lot of it anyway. It'll be a long project, so hopefully I'll improve a lot through it. I'll need to play against every character through multiple players to construct strategies for multiple styles etc... it's going to be tough to do I guess, but it's necessary in the long run, for me I think.Heavy use of the Replay Channel too, related to the above, as it's great for analysing match ups but also your own mistakes - there are things you can't do a thing about your opponent doing, but you can certainly have full control over your own play, and that's an area that can be constantly worked on.Then of course, going to every tournament available, other offline sessions, talking to the top heads for extra advice if I do feel I've hit a wall - I've realised the need to work hard alone in some aspects and not just rinse other people's work, but I think there'll be times it's acceptable to ask for help! =PA lot of this is a lot easier now that I've finished University it must be said! I really plan for this not to be all talk either, and the above sounds like pretentious BS, but I see it as indicative of how far I have to go really - I need to do all that just to catch up to the top heads.Hopefully it'll pay off and I can be a strong rep of the UK's SSFIV scene.
/As far as SvB is concerned, not to hot on NE events anymore ESPECIALLY when there hosted up in DEAD harrow, but i might pop down for casuals though. Will most likely decide closer to the event.

You may aswell enter. In tournaments as big as this, you are always better off entering. N.E are trying to run tournies for bare games so Im guessin casual play will be there, but low priority.Im hoping the majority of man here will keep practicing and enter, f*ck man up and show guys what you are saying in this game. That was Dafro's speech by the way, looks like he is goin in loooooooooool. With the amount of players who bang out this game thats how you have to go on though, otherwise you are just playing to get buss up basically.

There was a big turnout with VIP last year so I don't see it being any different. If anything, more people. /You pretty much have to treat SF like a full time job if you wanna be GOOD at it.I could never bang out 100 games a day without getting bored at some point. That's a different type of committment.

Yeah + without Arcades, i have no motivation to bang out the game. Atleast with Arcades, the process of getting better was so much quicker. I went from scrub to top 8 in france within 2 months after SVB. Now its just long. I hate playing online.

Yeh, no arcade is def a big blow. I have heard a couple of the bait SF4 players mention that as one of the reasons why they don't take super too serious.I actually don't think you have to go the lengths that Dafro is going through to be good at the game. I can name a couple players who have bare sh*t going on in their life and one or two examples where SF4 isn't even their main game and they still do reasonably well at tournies or whatever.I actually like Dafro's attitude. He wants to get better and isn't afraid to admit it. I say this cause I actually know players who have a routine not that far off from his, but still look me in the eye and tell me they don't care about winning etc etc which I find hilarious.

:D this thread >>>>>>Didn't know Natty has bars.Daffro is a sick fella. Frame data book and 100 matches a day, scrubs included.I actually spend more time in training mode doing silly combos than playing people.Skemar ST isn't for you as you can't jab all day. I think its best you play a game like Melty or some other where 90% of the cast are broads.I can arrange lessons as I want to learn myself though It won't be Gootecks.Titan, just tell her.
