there arent many good ones anymore tbh. back in the day man like lillian thuram. But these days you're looking at man like Sergio Ramos & Philip Lahm, i could even back an argument for someone like Sagna.

Like i said though, most right backs these days are sh*t defensively and everyone just looks at how well they attack which is why you get names like Rafael, Daniel Alves & Maicon thrown about. If them kinda man are what defending is about then Gareth Bale is the best left back in the world.

If he gets 20 this season he would of done so from 3 diff posistions RW, SS & CM. Has more stamina, intelligence, passes and shoots better than aformentioned. And arguably is a better 1 on 1 FINISHER than Drogba.

Decent job as in adequate. Gerrard is a player who from like 1998 - 2004 was playing soley as DMF. Since then he has played as a RW , CM, and SS all performing to a HIGH LEVEL. Do u know where his fav posistion is? Fact is Ron, Messi an Drog all play in there favoured positions.

How isnt he a better finisher? PMSL Drogba isnt known for his finishing! 99% of the time he relies on his power in a 1 on 1 posistion . Im not stating who is better, that is not what this is about. but if u weigh in the stats stamina, tackling, crossing , adapatability etc gerrard will come out on top.

Also in my regard to Gerrard playing up front, he has done for England, in the WC 2006. He came on for Rooney and SCORED . and no he wasnt playin SS he was UPFRONT. I said he could do a decent job, and ive given an example of him doin so and excelling at the highest level.

@Lens as u said 'all round player'. Out of Messi , Ronaldo and Drogba, isnt Gerrard the most all round player out of them? im not saying hes the best, but he can do anything they can do and more (playing in varied posistions, tackling etc)

there You go, using individual examples. which are therefore exceptions. no1 goes out of there way to say "ah look, it's Sneijder using his left foot" - it's normal, with gerrard,it's a 1 off worth remembering and apparently quoting.

and if he was an all round player, then while he was on the left wing for england, he would have taken it to the byline on the left, and crossed with his left foot, and we wouldnt have noticed how un natural it was for him to be on that position - he would look like a left winger
