Hernandez Balcazar
The draw for the Champions League group phase takes places in Monaco later on Thursday and you can follow it all via Sky Sports. Andy Gray and Richard Keys will be live in Monaco at 12noon and 1pm on Sky Sports News HD to look ahead to the draw - and also live afterwards to give their reaction. Sky Sports News HD will also bring you a Champions League Draw special from 16.30-18.30. Simon Thomas will be joined by Charlie Nicholas and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the SSN HD studio. And Nick Collins will be live in Monaco throughout the day for build-up and reaction as the five British clubs wait to learn who they will face. Skysports.com will also be running a live chat on the draw as it unfolds, so remember to join Alex Dunn from 5pm to discuss the ramifications. As for the draw itself, Tottenham could find themselves grouped with European giants Inter Milan and Real Madrid. Harry Redknapp's side advanced to the group stages thanks to a 4-0 second leg over Swiss side Young Boys on Wednesday night, securing a 6-3 aggregate success at White Hart Lane. Their reward for the win that secured their spot in the group stages of Europe's elite club competition for the first time since 1961-62 is a place in the third pot of eight clubs alongside SPL champions Rangers, meaning they are likely to be handed a testing draw. Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal will all be among the top seeds - but could still find themselves facing Real Madrid in the group stage. Being in the top pot means the trio will avoid the likes of defending champions Inter, Barcelona and last season's beaten finalists Bayern Munich. However, Real are only in the second pot of eight clubs and would provide stiff opposition in the group phase, as would fellow Spanish side Valencia and Werder Bremen. Uefa's rules for the draw will see the 32 qualified teams allocated into eight groups of four teams. Each group will contain a top seed, plus one club each from the second, third and fourth pots. Each pot is determined by a club's Uefa coefficient, but even the lower pots contain some teams the British clubs would hope to avoid such as Spartak Moscow and Dutch champions FC Twente, the side Steve McClaren managed until he moved to Wolfsburg. No English sides can play each other before the quarter-finals, but the trio of top seeds could face Rangers. Pots for Champions League draw: Pot one: Inter Milan, Barcelona, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Lyon. Pot two: Werder Bremen, Real Madrid, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica, Valencia, Marseille, Panathinaikos. Pot three: Tottenham, Rangers, Ajax, Schalke, Basle, Braga, FC Copenhagen, Spartak Moscow. Pot four: Hapoel Tel Aviv, FC Twente, Rubin Kazan, Auxerre, CFR Cluj, Partizan Belgrade, MSK Zilina, Bursaspor.

TF S4DK
Yeah cos they wait for Europa League and do both same day. I think they doing the awards for last year so probably thought do seperate days.
Davicious X
Simple question. How do they decide which team is in which pot? Is it based on CL performance from the last season or is it league position? I'm asking cos Arsenal are pot 1 while Real Madrid are pot 2. Thus what determines that Spurs should be in pot 3 having no prior CL experience?

Guest haze-e
With Auxerre in Pot4 there is potential for a tricky group for someone. Especially if both Madrid and totty are in there.

TF S4DK
With Auxerre in Pot4 there is potential for a tricky group for someone. Especially if both Madrid and totty are in there. That would have to be a German (Bayern) team & they would expect to beat Auxerre & Tottenham... Oh yeah AC Milan, but again they would expect to beat those two.
