dunno if this is a usual brisco bear baiting type post but i shall take it as a serious q

/

all the prophecies over what would happen to non- beleivers

tales of what the apocalypse is likely to be like

i read it (book of revaltions) after reading some book that i was given at stratford station a while back called survivors - which was a christian book detailing the end of the world

i advise ANYONE to read the book of revaltions king james version and come bk and tell me how they feel afterwards

Does that survivors book have a picture of an african man in an AC Milan shirt on the front. An old shirt?

I chat to them because the black dude who comes to my door has cancer. I feel it's sort of a moral duty.

Tbh a lot of the bible he spits comes like some anti-capitalist/socialist-humanist doctrine, so I'm all in favour.

my mum gave them the mistake of entertaining them once and gave them her name

they literally kept coming back every week for months asking for her till I said we're not interested.

I let people believe what they want and share their views but I view the Bible highly symbolically in my faith.

A guy across the road is seventh day adventist but has like dementia and has had strokes. EVERY time he sees me on road he will invite me to his church service not realising he's invited me before, I always politely decline and that I live right across the road

Does anyone have the Metaphysical Bible Dictionary

This is so useful, things that seem to make no sense literally in the Bible, things that you cannot make sense of are made into spiritual sense when u read it with the metaphysical bible

Like when Jacob struggles with the Angel or a man, and his thigh bone is broken and after that God calls him Israel which means he who struggles with God

Read many things on the significance of this fight, then i read the metaphysical and it explains something abuot the sciatic nerve and where it runs down to the thigh. So when Jacob's thigh is broken it is breaking the will of man in favour of the divine will.

when you zoom out religion is laughable

makes people feel good about their questioning nature of reality with convenient answers

gives hope to those without

edit; forgot to mention the sense of identity which it can also provide

I'm agnostic, it's like having the good things from religion without the bullshit

Annoys me when people try to rationalise it bare because their belief is making them insane

i don't mean to sound like such a prat tho i want to eat my words now, ''laughable'', religion means something to some people i know n i just feel like my stance is offensive to them

i duno i support them in their fasting like its positive discipline for the mind, showing appreciativeness for life and the things around, but its like you don't need to follow an institutionalised religion which comes with some closed minded baggage to have discipline and be spiritual, learn from everything, that book isn't perfect, nothing is
