Spurs midfield dynamo Luka Modric will not be moving to Manchester United this summer, according to the player’s advisor. The Croatian international has once again impressed at White Hart Lane with a string of fine performances in both the Premier League and Champions League, and was rumoured to be the Red Devils’ top transfer target. However, Mario Mamic believes that the stubbornness of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sell the club's prized assets would mean that Modric, whose contract runs through until 2016, has no hope of securing a deal away from North London, even if he wanted to."Luka will not go to Manchester United and he will also stay at Tottenham because I know that president Daniel Levy will not let him go," he told Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List.Although a transfer is unlikely to happen in the near future, Mamic’s father Zdravko is vice president of Modric’s former team Dinamo Zagreb and has hinted that United would have to break their transfer record of £30.75million - paid for Dimitar Berbatov - to stand any chance of signing him."I heard that somebody has offered £20 million pounds for Luka but that's crazy," he said.

"When we talk about Modric, that price would only be enough to buy peanuts."

Not to sound like Anelka, but Henderson's start of career reminds me so much of Lee Hendrie. Complete with solitary England cap and brilliant u-21 appearances.Hendrie had another few decent years (although didn't hit the heights of his first couple) and then just went backwards.£20m is lunacy, not because of his potential - but how much would he cost in 2/3 seasons after another couple of years at Sunderland? If he's progressed he'll be ready to step up, if not then you'll know he wouldn't be worth it.Players like Downing and Adam you know how good they are, Henderson you do not - and his talent is hardly so special that he must be signed at all costs.

Henderson Is a good player. We do "know how good he is" he'd be a starter now for most of the clubs outside the top 5/6. The question is will he develop into a player who can start in the top 5/6 clubs. 20 mill is not that ridiculous considering his age and the fact he's English. If all fails he will still have decent resale value as I said before he's good enough for most of the teams now that are outside top 5/6 and training with better players every week he's only going to push on.
