Spurs aren't held in such high esteem, to you the factors about Spurs' tradition, fanbase etc... are what makes you proud of your club as a supporter but other clubs and players could give a monkeys about that.You won't be regarded in the same light as the big 4 until you have/build a European pedigree. Man Utd were the first team from England to compete in the champs league but when you think of the best British club in Europe you think of Liverpool, so the fact that you were the first British club to win a european trophy is irrelevent.
