Arsenal Vs Derby

Arsène Wenger could be without as many as six players for the Premier League game with Derby County at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Four were certain to be sidelined. Jens Lehmann (elbow), Emmanuel Eboue (ankle) and William Gallas (groin) have been absent for some time. Last night, Arsenal lost Tomas Rosicky to a hamstring injury just after half-time in the 3-0 win over Sevilla. Speaking to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday, Wenger potentially added two more to that list. He described Philippe Senderos (hip) as âa doubtâ and Alex Hleb (knee) as âa major doubtâ. âWe have a few knocks and bruises,â said the manager. âOf course Tomas Rosicky is now added to Lehmann, Eboue and Gallas. He is definitely out. âHleb is a major doubt because of a kick on his knee. He has liquid on it today so weâll see how it goes down. Senderos is a doubt with a hip problem. We donât know how bad that is. Weâll see how it responds to treatment on Friday morning. I could not give you a percentage chance on their fitness at this stage. âI will rotate a little bit to bring in some fresh players. Who, I donât know yet because that depends on whether Hleb and Senderos will be available.â
Here we go, now our squad is being put to the test.Natrually I still expect us to win this game comfortably but I said that about Sheffield Utd last season.Would be tempted to play RVP on the wing & put Dudu upfront with Ade with Theo ON THE LEFT, he plays better there I don't know why Wenger can't see this.

Hleb out, Senderos fit while Walcott and Eduardo stand-byBy Richard Clarke Philippe Senderos has been passed fit for Saturdayâs clash with Derby County but, as expected, Alex Hleb will be missing. Both players picked up knocks in Wednesday nightâs victory over Sevilla in midweek. The game had already cost Arsenal the services of Tomas Rosicky (hamstring). A day later, Arsène Wenger said the Swiss defenderâs hip problem classed him as a âdoubtâ for the weekend while Hlebâs knee made him a âmajor doubtâ. With that in mind the team news revealed by Arsène Wenger at his pre-match press conference was hardly a surprise. âWe still have Eboue (ankle), Gallas (groin) and Lehmann [elbow) out,â said the manager. âWe have lost Rosicky and Hleb as well now. Rosicky has a minor strain and will be out for 10 days, Hleb has a knee injury. But Senderos will be fit.â Wengerâs side have a heavy workload at the moment so he intends to ring the changes. âI will rotate a little bit and try to get the right mixture between stability and some fresh legs as well,â he said. âGilberto will be back, maybe Theo Walcott will start, I do not know yet. Eduardo down the left can be a possibility as well.â
