I also don't think we can carry on for much longer with Defoe as our best striker.....
Gd callDefoe really does lack intelligence and vision at times..I kno strikers have 2be greedy but this lad takes the biscuit.. the amount of times he coudda slipped players in etc last season but opted to shoot was a jokeIf he was a RVN or 30+ a season man it would be ok but he aintAlso Pav is 2 laid back for English footy, hes got the ability but his whole mentality is far too laid back... worse than Kanu

We were sh*t that pitch didnt help either.Modric and Wilson in the middle was sh*t, the last time the started in the middle together they were crap as well. Wilson f*ck*ng hell he wins the ball only to give it back :D Gio weren't to impressive, always turning back on his left never went down the wing apart from that shot at goal at the start. Strikers just way to greedy Defoe needs to run the channels more and why the f*ck is he playing if he still has the groin problem. Pav is just sh*t him and Charlie look like they have a zoot before they play no urgency at all. Pav probably has the worst first touch of any striker the ball just seems to bounce off him the ball gets passed to him and he gives it away. Not starting Hudd was a big mistake if hes at 75% he needs to play keane should have started aswellBassong was shakey but thats nothing new really, Lennon's a p*ssy for not wanting to play Hopefully we beat them buy a could of goals at the lane

not sure what happened to Palacios.. he has gone from being a player that, if he wasn't starting I would assume we'd lose the game, to actually being a liability. Hope he regains form asap.. and work on his passing.Hope we can beat them comfortably at home but I can see them scoring against us.

Seeing Redknapp concentrate 100% of his efforts on trying to scoop up free transfers, regardless of how they'll fit in at the club, brings back memories of his Portsmouth days and every signing having to be a bargain.Gallas is good cover imo, but squad players aren't what's needed atm. I don't care if there's no value in the market, all we need is two long-term solutions. For once just pay over the odds and have done with it Levy you tight c*nt.

Meanwhile, Fabiano, 29, who has one year left on his contract at Sevilla, said: “Tottenham are the sort of club I want to be at.“I feel that I could fire them to the finish above Arsenal I know the club and fans so desperately want.“My next contract will be my last one, or at least my last big one, and I have to take that into account. My goal record in La Liga speaks for itself.“I believe myself to be one of the top strikers in the world and you just need to look at the deals players like David Villa, Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba are on.“I truly believe in the next two seasons Spurs can win the Premier League or European Cup. I’d love to be a part of it – I just need to know that they value me as one of the world’s top strikers.”

Tottenham won at Stoke last season but lost at home so will be fully aware of the size of the task facing them in Staffordshire.Spurs are coming back from a trip to Switzerland in midweek, where they almost squandered the good work of last season in a nightmare opening half-hour against Young Boys.Having qualified for the UEFA Champions League play-off round by finishing fourth in the Premier League, Harry Redknapp's men conceded three goals inside 28 minutes before rallying back to lose 3-2 and leave the tie delicately poised going into next week's return leg.Tottenham will be determined to produce an improved display and win their first match of the campaign, having played out a goalless draw with Manchester City last week. However, Redknapp will have an eye on the home game against Young Boys when he selects his starting XI and is expected to make several changes.Jermain Defoe is set to miss out after aggravating a groin injury in the second half in Bern, while Peter Crouch is the only fully fit striker after Robbie Keane (knee) and Roman Pavlyuchenko (ankle) also came unstuck on the artificial pitch.Luka Modric, like Defoe, was replaced against Young Boys due to a groin injury and could be left out, while Ledley King may be saved for the next European clash.Aaron Lennon is pushing for a recall on the right wing in place of Giovani dos Santos, but Jonathan Woodgate remains a long-term absentee.Possible starting XIsStoke: Sorensen, Higginbotham, Faye, Shawcross, Huth, Delap, Whitehead, Whelan, Etherington, Fuller, Tuncay.Tottenham:

Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, Bassong, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Palacios, Huddlestone, Bale, Kranjcar Crouch.

Hopefully kranky will play behind crouch, we should win because huddlestone is playing :D
