Well it seems like it.Few weeks ago was making some serious gains on deadlifts, 140k was my max and I was getting used to it. Some reason I had stopped going gym on back days, dunno why prob longed it off for a chick or something. So went back to back days 3 weeks ago, couldnt do 140k again so kept with 100k. The following day back was f*cked, I was just thinking cos I aint been in a while its gunna be sore, was sore all week. Went last week, similar routine. The next day f*cked again, sore for a whole week. Went yesterday went to do 100k and I just felt my back go, almost dropped on the floor. Now I am home back f*cked at hell, cant hardly bend down to pick up anything, have to sit up straight at my desk. I am in serious pain. You reckon if it dont feel right in a few days I should go hospital or is it a case of rushing back too soon. The back is the one place special care should be taken with, allow walking like a cripple

deadlift can be like that. i had a similar problem bout 6 weeks ago, mine hit a weight on the floor as i was going down and it hurt a nerve. it shouldnt hurt for a whole week in the first place if you were using correct form. try and get it massaged thats how youll know how bad the sprain is. and youll just have to go light for a few weeks.

So yesterday I experienced what I think was a pinched/trapped nerve on the left side of my back. I was in agony yesterday evening. Every time I took a breath I would get a massive stabbing pain. It's slightly better now as I can breathe normally without pain until I take a deep breath. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Literally have no idea where it came from. Hoping it goes by tomorrow night as its my calisthenics week ans want to get it in.

Yesterday it was 7/8. Today its like 2/3. It is improving drastically though. Was scary. My aunt has sciatica so she is in pain every now and then. Praying I don't develop it. Gonna get my girl to massage my back later and I have some deep freeze spray I can use.

No homo but how is pissing do you have ay difficulty? Thats a good sign of having something f*cked in your back.

Massage imo doesnt do sh*t you';re better off getting somebody to crack the points off ur back

you know when you stretch and ur back cracks its like that but at different points to ease the pain. its a life saver for me.

If pain is still with you even if its a 1/2 after a few days get it checked out thats how sciatica can develop.

ask your back to put her fist into the neck and bottom of back and with her other hand pull ur head back until it cracks when it does you'll go giggity for like 10secs. no homo.

Preventing sciatica

There are some steps you can take to minimise your risk of a slipped disc or back injury that could lead to sciatica. This includes:

  • better posture and lifting techniques at work

stretching before and after exercise

simple, regular exercises to improve flexibility

Gonna go doctors tomorrow but its not a muscle pain. I have a feeling its internal. When I take a deep breath there's a dull aching pain going horizontally from my left side, through my lat and there is a slight ache around my spine sometimes. Hoping to work out what it is soon.

Slightly off topic but it's a waste of time going to get a massage if you have an injury because they only alleviate pain but don't address the underlying issue.

To be a masseuse you don't have to have a deep understanding of physiology, it's much better to go to a physiotherapist who if is half decent will give you a massage as part of a recovery plan that will also include exercises you do within the sessions and exercises to do daily.
