...shouldn't he have been talking about successful black people outside of music as well?A positive track about black boys should not only address the successful black males in music. It should address them in all walks of life.Look at Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, also known as Adebisi and Mr. Eko.I was reading about this guy and was inspired and very impressed. He is fluent in Four languages; Yoruba, Swahili, Italian and obviously English, and can also speak enoguh French to comfortably get by. He has a Masters of Law from Kings College London, and was a solicitor. And look at Jordan Kensington, the guy who founded the Urban Music Awards. Google him if you don't know.As far as I'm concerned, he should talk about successful muscians, but also guys like the aforementioned as they help destroy the perception that if you are a black and successful you are in sports or music.Just my thoughts...You agree?
I agree man.Defo shoulda brought in Adebisi, I know pure man woulda been like "Rah, mans from England?"Thats Inspirational sh*t.He coulda had pictures going up aswell so people could recognise the names mentioned.Kinda like Angie Stones Brotha tune.He coulda informed the yutes of way more positive black males from or in England in different arenas.Coulda made certain man wana hit google, but he didnt.

I was thinking that the other day, but his target audience are most likely gonna be unfamiliar with these people, although they are more familiar with PDC and Northstar, and he shouted them out as well, which was a big shame still.
Thats why he shoulda dropped the pics in the vid like the Angie Stone Brotha video. Some people need directors like us in the video to say "rah, you should do it like this ykno"

True true.In my opinion he shoulda remade the track and brought out a better video, almost like this one was rushed or something..

That's kind of what I was getting at. If pictures of other people went up rather than the super bait guys, I think it could have had a little more of an effect. like one more group opf people hitting the search button. But allow me, I wasn't thinking properly, especially as I heard the song today and realised he did mention people outside of sports and music.Second topic I've slipped on on the forum.

Serious, I must not have been thinking properly. Remind me, who outside of music did he talk about? I hope not just Marcus Garvey or Martin Luther because those are obvious.I swear, I have forgotten most of the song.
he was talkin bout people within sport & television aswell

i think people misunderstand what hes tryin to get at herehe says theres strength in numbers,- which is why everyone knows about them. if u can be recognised for badness then you can be recognised for goodotherwise it doesnt make sense or fit in with the rest of the song

WTF biggrin.gif My bredrin said that on Monday. But they are STILL gangs who participate in 'Black-on-Black' violence in the end and should not even be mentioned among other Black people who have actually accomplished bigger and better things. Furthermore, the 'good' these gangs can be recognised for is not on the same level as many of the others he mentioned anyway. Its actually embarassing if you think about it..

im not saying that the good things they do no matter what they are should be recognised above the bad thingswhat im saying is, if they can come together and be known for doin bad, YOU can organise yourselves for something positiveif we can come together and have some level of cohesion when it comes to crime, y cant we do the same for forward movement?thats exactly what i thought when i first heard him mention them

All the musicians he mentioned are not successful apart from two.At least talk about the song writers and real producers lol.Still, I always think this. But young black people in general, always look up to the popular upfront mc/singer/rapper.Rather stupid I know.I look at the road life and see this all the time, I used to be like that.f*ck THAT!!!
