My educational and political movement is moving forward fast and effectively.I was appointed as 'course representative' in my first month. In my second month I was appointed as 'forum representative' to represent all student reps on behalf of the adult college, and finally, in my 3rd month, I have recently been elected as 'Student Governer' for the whole of Lewisham College. Both Deptford and Lewisham campus'. This is a governing body of 17 people to which 15 members are non-student and 2 members are students within the college and play a massive role in how the college is run and where the money is allocated.This year I should be meeting the Prime minister and also attending parliament to see how things are done.With another yout on the way aswell, these past few months have been very enjoyable. I'm loving life right now.Hang tight those that called me a bum and thought that I could not get anywhere with my life. To the haters - F U

People don't want to do it as it means extra work and you're going on like you were appointed because of some special skill you have.Get a grip lad.Nobody wants to do those jobs, It's like getting a job as a sewer worker. Yeah that's true.I do not regret arguing on here though. It has taught me a lot, like how to debate correctly and how not to let personal issues get in the way of serious issues that do not get resolved due to non productive arguments. Although it is essential to have some passion involved in what you are saying, it is very importnant to to cross a line and offend others.

I dissagree. I think the course rep role is very essential. It's obvious that you should not be a class representative if you do not hold passion in getting the needs of those students in your course.I also must point out that instead of stopping at course representative and speaking ignorantly, you should have carried on reading my friend.

Not at all.I became class rep because many people in my class were strugggling and I put in a lot of my time to help them keep up with the course.It's not the fact that nobody wanted to do it. I did. Maybe because I dont go to college to lay back and act like a child. I go to college to achieve.
