i_Break_Ankles Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 My bredrin has had his ghanian name changed, so how he just has his old middle name as his surname...which is "King"Bare of my african friends....like, their Middle name is their "real" first name..Won't hot no guys up, but, it was always the exposure, the teacher would accidentally read the middle name on the register instead of the first.....niggas be like Yeah they laugh out of ignorance.Not gonna lie though, when I was staying in my auntie's Estate in Nigeria there was this younger named Bubu , and I laughed at his name and he told me he actually changed his name to Bubu because he was ashamed of his previous name (which he refused to tell me).The irony :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Your child is an individual so irs only right their name should be. Remember the post about the parents who try call their child 4real? Certian countries like argentina have a list of pre-approved names for their children, and if the name you want isnt on that list, you will be unable to legally name your child that, so be thankful you can name your child Fashikwa or whatever.Sigaun, or Sibohan could be my names, I dunno. I was given a christian name when i was in babylon(church)-- desmond . But i rebuked that sh*t after i learnt the history of why africans were particularly given european names. They were given european names to deafricanize them and make them forget their roots, by the look of things today its successful. And no i don't think it will hinder my success i life . Thats for the mentally weak still mentally enslaved that still think having an african name will hold you back, the only thing that holds back are mental chains people still carry.
