i know this thread gets done alot, so will some one make a sticky on all that we might wana know on this kind of thing.i need to restock on my whey, and i dont know what type to get. i have been using maximuscle progain but its fairly expensive. and there are others on the market with more protein in them and equal calories which are cheaper.but do they all do they all have the same effect, or are some of the cheap ones worth avoiding. can anyone can recommend me and show me some good sites?

N-Large is sick.Just make sure if u end up shitting it out take 2 scoops instead of 4.And no dont buy the out of date one.

I was doing that at the start! sh*t used to go right through me! Stopped happening now though, just makes me a bit gassy and that's after 2 weeks.

I get that for £29 from my team supplier. I'm using it atm. It's pretty good. Don't get chocolate. It's not nice.

LOL! I'm trying to get hold of some peanut butter at the moment to blend it in. Hoping that'll make it a bit nicer coz it's quite rough on its own. (To be fair I'm not trying that hard) Pisstake is I told the guy I wanted strawberry.

Question about taking supps. I take N Large 2 but when I get to uni I'm planning to be hitting the gym at 8 and getting my supplement in when I get back. That will be the last thing I consume each day (probably about 10 to 10:30) and I will get to bed about 1. Is that OK? I know you're technically not supposed to eat withint 4 hours of bed, but it's best to eat if you're trying to put on weight. Is the supp OK to take at that time?

Where does it say before bed? I thought it just said after training? Hmmm I'll read it later. If vanilla is that bad then I think I'll stick to chocolate. Had it with peanut butter today and it took the edge off a bit. No way would I tell anybody that the taste should put them off it though because I'm seeing serious improvement since I started a month ago and all I've had is my barbell in my room.

i dont see why you would pack a bunch of carbs on at night when theres nothing happening with you metabolism wise.you should take it after training, and take protein at night, bcos the protein keeps the muscles supplied with fuel which prevents muscle breakdown. you should also not overlook the advantages of amino acid tablets too, they are well priced and taking these along with the protein at night will give you better results than taking a weight gainer at night.
