is anyone here doin their masters? if so how are u funding it?
Most people fund themselves.Master's degrees are notoriously difficult to get funding for because the government don't do it.
Na you can get something called a Career Development Load (CDL)Government backed scheme through private banking, what I got when I did my MSc.It's like a loan to cover fees, the government pays the interest on it until 2 months after you graduate.Only problem is you HAVE to start paying it every month after you graduate whether you have a job or not.I pay about £150 per month for about 2 years (I think)Got mine through the co-op bank, barclays rejected, apparently reject quite a few, it dont affect your credit history by the way.http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLe...Loans/index.htmhttp://www.co-operativebank.co.uk/servlet/...Page/Bank-Loans

Yeah they can. I don't think I can achieve a AAB this year but I'm hoping Bristol will accept me at ABB.
I wish I went Bristol over UCLBun London, Out of London unis>>>>>>>>_____________
That's exactly what I'm doing, my dad and my physics teacher are telling me I'm missing out on an excellent opportunity but I see going to Bristol as a way to live away from home in a city I otherwise wouldn't have any wish to live in. And Bristol is also a good uni so it's not like I'm sacrificing a good education, it's just the uni name on my CV won't be as impressive.

What are you studying btw? When I went Bristol for my interview, MY DAZE, hot sunny day, campus feel, everyone was bless and it was picturesque. Both same requirements so I had to choose one over the otherWhy I chose UCL; the name & the location simple as.And I regret it to a certain extent but aint gonna lie, UCL is alot more recognised on ur CV like u said.

Hopefully will be at UCL next year, but I think it's more likely I will be heading to Manchester. Depends if I get out of this 'Too much to do, so little time' mindset. :/

Exactly what I did.I got mine from Barclays, seemed strate forward enough, but they took the piss with some parts of the application stage. They give a choice of how you want to pay it back. I chose the £150 a month option.

I know about all the funding options for master's degrees, trust me. I believe they've stopped giving the CDL to courses that aren't directly related to an employment prospect. So for example, if you wanna do an MA in Political Theory, they probably won't give it to you.NOLA DARLING: Have you tried asking the university department itself what its students usually do?

Studying Economics. Was a potential medic until last year March. Quite happy I didn't have to go through the competetive process.
Congrats, Econ at UCL is really good, pretty intense.Try and get in touch with investment banks for internships before you start, they're now trynna attract prospective students early on than the usual 2nd/3rd year.
