all the music i listen to provokes a response that distracts me from my revision

C/s

Except I often find myself reciting lyrics in my head when I should be reading, so sometime I read a page of a bookl n all I've learnt is a song.

/

When I listen to something instrumental like jazz I concentrate better than when I'm not listening to something at all for some reason.

i revise to coldplay; never used to revised to music but this seems to work. keeps me focused

right now revising for thursday's exam rather than tomorrow.

tomorrow exam is at 5 so i'll put in some work hopefully before then

Lol i end up singing to the music...then it goes downhill from there

fourth of five exams today at 1.30

not totally prepared, by far my weakest module and i've put off revising for it until yesterday

spent 10 hours in library though, learning everything i needed too

i got 67 on my coursework, and i found out just now that if you get between 35-39 on the exam then it's their discretion if they let you through or not, so 35% should be enough!

i wouldn't be too fussed about a re-take but i've got a festival over the same timescale as retakes

fingers crossed i can get through it anyway

Positive thoughts can come in handy during hard times. So here's my input:

Bad Thing: I hate philosophy, can't seem to put the time or energy into getting my head around it, and as a result may end up failing that class.

Good Thing: I can now definitively strike off "philosopher" from my list of potential drastic career moves.

Bad Thing: I am so behind in my studying I feel I would need an entire academic year (yes, another one) just to get on top of things.

Good Thing: One of the reasons I am so behind is that I was dancing the night away and mashing random chicks during the year. Pretty good trade-off, in my book.

Bad Thing: I didn't get a spot to go to Singapore.

Good Thing: I don't have to stress and lose valuable social/study time trying to find a new place to live. And I get to go skiing while all my classmates are exploring the beaches of South East Asia. (I'm trying really hard to find the positives here...)

Bad Thing: Exams start in one week.

Good Thing: Post-exam World Cup binge starts in a few days.

Bad Thing: Exams are almost over.

Good Thing: Exams are almost over.
