I've finally sorted out my student finance and will be getting a £1100 maintenance loan and a £969 grant. Will my bursary fall into one of those or is it a separate thing? manuel Posted November 21, 2010 Report Share Posted November 21, 2010 f*ck my live sound lecturer. How can she expect the WHOLE class which is around about 100+ people to complete this assignment. We have to go out to a venue and ask to assist a sound engineer at a gig and they have to write a report on us, Like they have the time for that bull sh*t. I mean firstly what sound engineer is going to want a student lamo assisting him in his job. Ive learnt they are very territorial once they have a position. Why would he give a f*ck about writing a report on how well we done. why would any venue want to let a student in for free, thinking we're just trying to get a freebie of a show. I'm not paying door price. got to be the shittest assignment ever! It's not fair becuase 1/4 of the class already do live gigs and have bare contacts so this would be nothing for them. I understand that this is the kind of thing id have to do when it came to looking for work but im not at that stage yet. I was always aware that an assignment should be able to be completed either at home or by using the resources within university. It would be like my audio engineering lecturer saying right you have to record this band but you cant use our studios you have to go and find your own. to me it's ridiculous. Should gain some good experience though. We was given a month. c/s havng slackers in your group for group projects. Last year we had some guy who we constantly tried to contact to come in to uni to work on it. Phoned him, Text him, Facebook messaged him, He obv seen the messages becuase he would update his status. He couldnt even be f*cked to let us know he had dropped out. Just left us hanging. In the end we just went ahead without him.
