NO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYTHATS f*ck*ng SCARY. SOOOOOON AS I CLICKED SUBMIT TOPIC, THE PHONE RANG. I PICKED IT UP AND IT WAS THE BLOOD BANK PEOPLE. MY MOTHER PROMISED TO GIVE BLOOD BUT DIDNT TURN UP SO THEY BOOKED A NEW APPOINTMENT. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS DOING THIS sh*t. THATS SCARY. IM FREAKED OUT

iight, cant sell blood. What about sperm then, how much do they pay?
They don't pay for sperm.They pay travel expenses to & from the clinic, and if you have a job that you're missing in order to donate (I'm guessing you don't), they pay for loss of earnings.

Ban putting a price on my sperm. £40 the rate isn't it? (or summat like that). Sure you give blood but don't get no P for it. After that geezer got elephant man syndrome ban medical testing.

The blood is used to develop and modify laboratory methods in the development of new medicines.As a blood donor you have two options: 1. A 24 hour fasting appointment. You will be paid £100 for donating 600 mls of blood or a proportional amount if less blood has been donated, i.e. £67 for 400 mls. Plus £5 for travel expenses. 2. A 4 hour fasting appointment. You will be paid £60 for donating 600 mls of blood or a proportional amount if less blood has been donated, i.e. £40 for 400 mls. Plus £5 for travel expenses.To donate blood you must meet the following criteria to ensure that your blood is suitable for our research: * Aged between 18–50, fit and healthy with normal blood pressure and heart rate and weigh more than 50kg. * You must not have smoked a cigarette for at least three months. * You must not have any medical problems like asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, anaemia. * You must not have donated blood in the last 4 months. * You must not have taken any recreational drugs in the last 6 weeks (including cannabis, speed, ecstasy, cocaine, LSD etc). * You must not have taken any prescription or over the counter medication in the last 14 days (including painkillers, antibiotics, cough/cold treatments, throat lozenges, sleeping tablets, inhalers, foot powder, injections, vaccinations, herbal remedies, vitamins, minerals, medicated creams, sunscreens, self-tanning lotions, energy drinks). * You must not have any condition associated with excessive blood loss.

Yea, ive been applying still. If I was graduating this summer it would be easier but I have to do an extra semester so I can only really look for shitty admin or retail jobs. Which are kinda hard to get. Lend me 100 quid please, you know im good for it.
