None of the 4G phones will even come out here until our providers start offering 4G.

I asked swift about the tapatalk plugin a while ago, he said he didn't see much use in it but if theres more peeps backing it he might change his mind

The issue is Tapatalk cost money for the end user. Although it doesn't really affect the non-mobile forum experience. But on all the forums that have it it pops up asking you to buy the app every time you come on the website, which may become annoying for people, dunno if you can cancel that.

youd think we'd be at the forefront of 4G, LTE or whatever seeing as Americans have always had the shittest phones

maybe the standard is not complete yet and theres compete techlogies and the companies dont want to pick the loser

the phones should be backwards comp. with 3G and 2G though surely?

that wouldnt make sense as theres no 100% 4G coverage

Youtube no, everything else yes (depending how content heavy the site is).

I only browse vip2 (using the mobile skin) when im out and about which is fine on GPRS. i only turn on 3g when i need it tbh

They should make that automatic really. If you're downloading or browsing have 3G, and if you're just standby or syncing have 2G.

A proper widget to switch between 2g/3g wont happen, the abilty wasnt built into Androids framework

the most you'll get is a shortcut to the wireless/network page

my exact thought

this has a better camera. and knowing the galaxy S was a good device is reassuring.

the atrix on the other hand, seems like the ultimate in gadgetry with the fingerprint scanner, hdmi out, dock etc
