Brem Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 I acknowledge the iPads limitations enforced by apple but Jailbreaking has turned this piece of kit into he mobile computer that I wanted and needed. The iPad hs always been a fantastic entertainment device but lacked some basic practicalities. You couldn't even send an attachment in an email or download it for f*cks sake. The app store will be boog. Gaming will be swag. But this is device with more practicalities than the iPad. Jus need to confirm that the flash install enabled badjojo functionality, then I'm bless... I ain't even got round to releasing the beast that is the stylus!! Why they don't is the economic feasibility. This will be a good device but an iPad sales rival... No. It also doesn't have going for it what android does. It is limited to one or two devis on the market. Smart glass is cool but the Sony tablet had the same thing and that doesn't seem to be even on the radar now. iPads are limited but what hey do they do the best. A jailbroken iPad. Well that is the best that can be got. I just did it and only catching the surface of what I can do and what can be done but I can safy say doing so has turned this thing into a fully fledged mobile computer. Brem Posted August 20, 2012 Report Share Posted August 20, 2012 First of all upgrade your software to 5.1.1 and then jailbreak with absinthe 2.0 (I think). Search on google Cydia sources and add then Cydia. The more you have then the more you have to choose from in terms of tweaks and apps. Then search top 50 Cydia tweaks. I have too many to be bothered to write down. Best ones are quasar, safari swipes, Attach any and they keyboard swipe thing. Makes typing so much easier. Kurtis Posted August 21, 2012 Report Share Posted August 21, 2012 yeah im streaming dreambox too lol (well vu+ duo, but it runs enigma2 thats on dreamboxes), using it in my bedroom until i save enough to buy a proper tv and build a xbmc system for it with all the plugins around there must be a way for it to be mobile, prob not through a dedicated app, just browser streaming and a video player or something cause im sure i saw a topic title on a forum about streaming over the internet rather than just wifi, no idea where i saw it though ill investigate some more Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
