i can understand why people would want to see my godlike hands but they should've at least asked so i could say noand thats Nattys' stick, when i first saw them hands i thought it was Ryan Hart

Because if you don't support the community who are organizing these events, they wont be able to afford to continue to put them on.Do you think they make some BIG PAYDAY off these events, or do you think the entry fee covers costs for venue hire and prize fund? Most of the people running the events spend f*ck*ng hours and hours setting up and taking it all down before and after, and on top of that you want them to have to pay money out their own pocket for a venue just so you can go and play videogames?Nah, bun that. That's some A Grade wasteman attitude.

If you can get it for free, then how? We don't see Capcom holding such event.If they're to go by Capcom's words then they'll make a loss with anything they decide to do.If they can get the community to tell Capcom to stfu then it's all good. if you were happy to pay in the first hand then it shouldn't be any different.Besides, didn't people pay for access to the EuroGamer expo? Anyone know if SSFIV was there?

confirmed?the funny thing is this event was doing a lot for Capcom promotion wise at the community level FOR FREE. Stupid Capcom.

hey guys,Thanks again for your patience. Before I reach the conclusion, I feel it's only fair to explain a little.It's important for us that you understand we do this for the love of gaming, with a hope of helping to grow the London (and even UK) gaming scene - we may benefit from extra viewers on our site, but we do not benefit financially.Our last event left us with a deficit of hundreds of pounds - believe it or not. This event we would have broken even. There was never a question of us making profit.We saw that there was no Super Street Fighter IV events in England pre-release of the game, and thought it'd be a nice event to put on. So we approached Capcom about the idea.We have always dealt directly with Capcom's Community Manager regarding our events. Everything has been above board, and both parties have always known what we were agreeing to. The problem arose when Capcom's PR assistant intervened, stating that we can't charge for playing an unreleased game. There may have been a conflict of interest in the motives behind this decision, but from our standpoint the only way we can afford to run the event is if we take an entrance fee.We re-worked the ticket system, instead of charging for tournament and spectator tickets, we figured we'd simply charge a one-off entrance fee - then once inside people can enjoy our casual setups (8 large TVs and a Capcom arcade machine) and our tournament (on 4 Alienware 3D/HD monitors) at no extra cost. After a bit of back-and-forth yesterday, Capcom Community Management agreed to these terms. PR it seems were still unhappy with the setup, and instructed the Dragon brothers to make a post here. (Personally, I feel direct communication with myself would have been more professional. Posting on these forums lead to speculation of underhandedness on our part. But what's done is done.)Capcom can't cover our costs - because it would be unfair to do so, after refusing other events the same favour, and we cannot run an event with no capital.Therefore, we will not be able to provide you guys with an opportunity to play Super Street Fighter IV two weeks before release, for that I apologise.Of course, we will refund everyone. Thanks for understanding.

yep, no more super. Ah well, wasnt looking to go anymore anyway when i found out you could only use the 10 new characters in the tournament. imma just have to wait for 30th april i guess./And that was some real talk Roy, i feel ike a Grade A wasteman after that. I should know since i try to hold my casual sessions every week which isnt the easiest thing to do :D
