Looking at the history of the human race I find it ridiculous to say morality stops us from self destruction. Saying survival of the fittest doesn't apply to humans and other humans looking at the landscape of the world is also ridiculous to me.

It doesn't exist in the exact form it does in the animal kingdom but it's still prevalent in our every day life.
