This sounds funny, but it makes such a difference. I'm so baffled now when I use someone else's laptop and I can't scroll or swipe the way I do on my mac.

my 13 mbp is almost 2 years old.. have not had any problems and have not had to do a clean installation.

honestly don't think there's a better alternative to Apple, especially if you're mainly using it for creative arts (video editing, music productions and the like)
