yeah but imo the times are different, their choices of rapper won't be based on some baitness

I don't consider her music soul, its more ballad base, D'Angelo, Bilal, Jill Scott , Amy Winehouse etc are soul and you see how their music blends well with rap.

some remixes are done (these days) because artists want to experiment and capture a different target audience, e.g if rolling in the deep had a rappper on the remix,it wouldnt cause a negative effect because the original has done so well (obv a different beat is used)

I was more talking about you saying a rapper would sound odd on her single because she isn't pop, when rappers are more likely to collaborate with soul and Rnb Artists in the first place.
