Mephisto
The guy just turns up to finals Copa World UEFA Cup Cup Winners Cup   That UEFA Cup final performance is the best i've ever seen by a striker in a major competition. He was unplayable.

O Fenomeno
World Cup is a complete different level of pressure to any other footballing event It's also on a different level tactically to any club competition There is no comparison between the WC and anything else I agree but tactically its similar as this years world cup showed, teams that relied on stars only got so far compared to teams with tactical coaches / so we all agreed that world cup greats are players who are just good in 3 week tournaments? Name me world cup greats who weren't also club greats I'm not down with guys who fail to get it up when it really matters no homo Klose is on the same level as Messi/Cristiano He breaks records on the world stage and gets found out in club football They break records in club football and get found out on the world stage. All of that time we were going back and forth comparing these two to the likes of Maradona Pele Ronaldo When we should of been comparing them to Klose I say this because how can you be great on only one stage and air on another. Heero Yuy
But Ronaldo never won the greatest thing you can win at club level  infact according to you man it's relativity easy to win a CL in comparison to a WC.  Ronaldo played for Real during the Galatico era + the best brazil team i've seen in my lifetime (arguable one of the best?)  Messi plays in the arguably one of the best clubs sides of all times and a good Argentinian side.  Argument is illogical because Ronaldo, Ronnie and Messi all have something missing from their honors list
Agony
I used Klose as an example because I just find it funny how he wouldn't get into most people's list of top 20 strikers(including mine) but in other arguments GOAT status is denied to players because 'they didn't do it at a World Cup.' O Fenomeno
Ronaldo cannot be compared to anyone currently playing The levels are low Ronaldo took Brazil to the next level without him they would of never saw back to back WC Finals
O Fenomeno
Maradona never won CL Took a fodder team in Italy and made them kings of Italy + UEFA cup winners Ronaldo never won CL Won a league title,UEFA Cup,Cup winners Cup Maradona e Ronaldo both dominated outside club. Messi y Cristiano Ronaldo These guys have won CL and broke records at club level Gone missing at World Cups even gone missing on home soil during their federation competition eg Copa America Euros They can't even dominate their bread and butter

Ags like I said Klose should be compared to Messi/Cristiano Ronaldo History wise All three are on the same level You can't excel in one and not excel another

Agony
Klose is like February 29th. Only turns up every 4 years. If he didn't have the luxury of playing for the German team and was Portuguese he'd be any Helder Postiga in the history books.

Agony
I can't compare someone that has only reached his full potential 12 weeks in his entire career vs Goku and Vegeta raising the bar for the last 10+ years.

Mame Biram Diouf
Porchy hates poachers and non-ballers but wants to bring up Klose's goal tallys as the benchmark for performing in a world cup when his actual performances offer nothing offer then the goals (which is not a problem to me tbh) Â Just saying

They performed all year round but these two take a month off every summer. Another thing Messi/Cristiano Ronaldo are world class/best of this generation but are not unique Guys like this have been around before in the 60s 70s

Was never gonna win the world cup with Sweden. Won leagues and cups but didn't and should have won the European cup similar to some of the other greats.
