Yes smoking is haram in general, people will debate it though but theres no question it can cause serious damage to ur body.

 

Its dumb u people highlighting such a thing though, everyone has their vices nobody is perfect it doesnt mean u shouldnt fast or pray.

 

Alcohol is a bit of a different matter though, its clearly stated that it voids prayer for 40 days which is a direct conflict with ramadan i cant defend anyone on that.
